No, I'm not scared (as in he is mean, loud, rude or obnoxious), but he is very inteligent and although I do a good job and he keeps telling me I do, I sometimes feel less as smart and tend to be very quiet around him. How can I get over it!?!?!?

You are lucky ! It is said that 6 out of 10 people dislike their job because of a low IQ boss.
It is important for you to treat your boss as a mentor and look for opportunities to collaborate with him. Also start slow and take up responsibility by saying "MrABC, can I take the lead on this and it would be good if you review once Iam done". Or you can ask his guidance on a new assignment before begining..any way to learn the ropes.

You're very luck to have a boss who is intelligent and praises your work. There aren't enough smart and considerate bosess out there who will do that. Do you know how many people would kill to have a boss like yours? Myself included? In my opinion, there are far, far too many pathetic so-called bosses (and I will include some employees) out there. I've had one once. It ruins the entire workforce and that could possibly scare potential applicants away. I'd say keep your job and the boss that you have as long as you can. Be very appreciative of what you have.
