I want meet a woman who is younger than me to settle down with and raise a family. If I date older woman, I run the risk of them being unable to have kids but I don't know the cut off age for someone my age.
Personally I wouldn't feel right being with anyone under 25 but I'm not sure a 26 yo would even consider dating a 38 yo man. Would they?

I'm not against dating older woman people so take it easy. I have always dated older woman. In fact, I am dating a woman who is 43 at the moment but I am not in love with her.
I am asking this because as I start to date new woman, I don't want to wonder if they are at the age where they are unable to have kids or not and I want to try dating someone younger than me for a change.

My personal opinion is go 10 years down and 5 up - that would be from 28 - 43. Your best bet, however would be from 32 to 38- you should find someone nice in that age range

Yes they would. I'm 26 (as of April) and my boyfriend is 37 (38 in Nov).

I don't necessarily agree with your reasoning behind wanting a younger woman, especially when you do see dating a woman your own age a possibility. A woman's fertility should not stop you from settling down with someone you love, no matter the age. If she's unable to have children (for whatever reasons) you deal with it. There are other options. Some women my age are unable to carry so you could run into that "risk" at any age, even if it's a slimmer risk for my age group.

My husband is 16 years my senior, and we've been together for 12 years and married for 7 (8 on July 21st) Of course it's not wrong. Ages 24 - 39 are definitely adults. Just don't check out any younger than 19.

I've heard it said that guys will find their ideal mate, most compatible, with a girl who is half their age plus seven. I don't know who can up with that equation and I don't know if it has any evidence supporting it except that my husband is 34 and I'm 24. Half of 34 is 17+7=24. lol... it worked for us. Not that we planned it that way. But for real? Don't go for a girl that can't idenify with you. A girl too young will be thinking of how sucky her college math teacher is and how much she NEEDS a new pair of jeans while you'll be thinking about putting money away for retirement. No offense, but sometimes my husband and I get hung up on that. He's worried about 401k and life insurance and I'm still thinking about going to Disney World. Luckily, I'm mature enough and he's young enough for his age that we're mostly right on with each other. I'd say for you that you should not look younger than 25 for sure and would probaly do better with someone 30 or older. 30 year old's are HOT, so I don't want to hear any thing about wanting to be with some young hot thing. 30 is the new 19. :)

It is not the age that should made a difference it is the experience and things in common that should make the difference. Would someone younger go out with you, depends on who you ask and how many you ask. I remember taking a younger lady out one time and we had nothing in common other then the fact that she looked great. Their must be more so I made it a choice to bump my dating cutoff up 5 years. My father use to say, you got to find a woman that knows 3 songs you do and likes them....lot of wisdom in that if you go deep enough.

For the worldly view, its 21, but honsetly 25 years old at least because 21 one years olds are going to be childish cause they are still stuck on 18 years old and they are not that far from it, not all of them but most majority. Im so glad that you said you would not feel comfortable going with some under 25 years old. Your be fine with 25 years old or older woman.
And for the ones who said that age does not matter and its just a number and love is love, but you can carry that to a certain extent. How would you want a 40 year old to go with a 12 year old, it is terrible. Just be realistic

I think you should look into maore than just age. There is a maturity factor to consider. I'm 39 and married to a woman ten years younger than I am, and we have no problems to speak of as far as age goes. Love doesn't ahave an age limit. When you meet the right person age wont matter.
