When you answer a question using direct quotes from Watchtower publications, should you always give credit to them for using their answers instead of your own?

Personally, I feel the Watchtower should be given full credit for their information.

Here's one:

Those who are convinced that The Watchtower is publishing the opinion or expression of a man should not waste time in looking at it at all... Those who believe that God uses The Watchtower as a means of communicating to his people, or of calling attention to his prophecies, should study The Watchtower..." -- The Watchtower January 1, 1942, page 5

But don't forget, they are not claiming to be inspired by God...

Should a person give credit where it is due? Sure. Some on here do, some don't. It is a good thing to point out. Most of the time when I see actual direct quotes from the Watchtower, I notice that their is a statement of where it came from.

Good question (although it sounds a lil loaded 2 me).

Well, in my opinion, any direct quote from a WT publication (Watchtower/Awake articles, Reasoning From the Scriptures, Insight from the Scriptures, etc.) should be appropriately credited so that onlookers know where the answer came from.

After some time in the organization, however, certain terms and expression become rather common, so a statement like ("Babylon the Great is the world empire of false religion") could easily be made verbatim by any 1 of us w/o a specific reference.

Yes, I definitely would do that. Otherwise, I would be a plagiarist. No matter what religion is represented anywhere, I try always to show respect to those who worship differently from me. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. Also, The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. - Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

I always make it a point to quote the New World Translation Bible when I quote a verse from the Bible.Or if I use something out of a watchtower article I mention it also.
And I see alot of others do to.
If some dont, what's the big deal?
Jehovah sees their heart and if they are sincerely giving a witness,I'm sure Jehovah wouldn't mind terribly if they forgot to mention that the info came from the faithful slave.

I don't quite understand the question, but i'll try my best. The Watchtower is a publication used for explaining different aspects of the Bible, usually in relation to what is happening in the world today (Violence, death, financial trouble, etc.). Everything is taken directly from the Bible, so it's not The witnesses point of view, It's God's.

I would think it would be a violation of copyright law, but unless someone brings suit against them, it doesn't matter.

No. Plagiarize, Plagiarize, Plagiarize. I'm sure nobody really knows anything anyway.

I don´t know why you like to provoke me, cause you really know my dangerous logic that make you shake and sometimes you hide from me. Am I lying?
