It was a tv show series, I'm not sure of the name of it, but it came on a local station like NBC or CBS or ABC, I'm not sure which, but it was a cartoon, with very good animation for its time, and I remember the main character was a male who somehow got this glove, and it had magical powers like,I believe it ran sometime during 1998-2001, not that it lasted for that long, but it was on sometime during those years.

Was the main character a kid?
Were there aliens involved in a conspiracy to destory US military bases by launching metors from the moon to make it look like an accident?
If it is then the movie is called INVASION AMERICA

There is a cartoon show on the ABC or SBS in Sydney, Australia, that sounds very similar. Check their web sites.

but it was a miny series on the WB now called CW
and they left it at a cliff-hanger
