Antic Disposition:
Well, Mr Environmentalist.

"Currently the world is heading toward the next ice age."
The next ice age is expected to occur in 30.000 years.

"Although parts of the world are getting warmer and glaciers are melting (such as the Antarctic Peninsula which is melting at a rate of one inch per year, although it only consists of two percent of the continent) there is more evidence leading to global cooling."
You have entirely missunderstood the concept of global warming. It is not regional, but stretches across the planet.
Regarding the Antarctic peninsula: "Rapid thinning of more than 1 meter/year, and locally more than 5 meter/year, was observed between 1992 and 2001 for many small ice shelves in the Amundsen sea and along the Antarctic peninsula. Thinning of about 1 meter/year preceded the fragmentation of almost all (3.300 km2) of the Larsen B ice shelf along the Antarctic peninsula in less then five weeks in early 2002."
Why don't you present that evidence?

"The center of the arctic regions are getting colder, which pushes the warm fronts toward the western and pacific regions."

"Of the worlds 5,000+ glaciers, scientists are studying only 23 in some of the warming regions of the world which is what is leading them to beleive that the world is doomed from global warming."
In some of the warming parts of the world?

It seems they are all over the world.

"What the public is not told is that many icebergs and glaciers are getting colder and thicker, which would counter scientific research and end their funding."
As usual, no sources.

Yes they are because they are both currently being lumped together under the catch-all expression "Global Climate Change" so that no matter what happens America or GW Bush can get blamed for it. In fact, even if the weather stabilized into uniformity year after year, THAT would be included because they would then claim "the weather was supposed to vary more than this, now you have to pay an SUV tax until you buy a hybrid!"

No, as the names suggest, they're the exact opposites. Global warming is when the average temperature of the planet increases, global cooling is when it decreases. The causes of the two phenomena are different.

Global warming can be caused by variations in solar activity and the greenhouse effect. Global cooling can also be caused by low amounts of solar activity or by particles in the atmosphere blocking sunlight.

Between 1940 and 1970 we had a very small amout of global cooling due to increased volcanic activity and human aerosol emissions. Basically our industry was very dirty at the time and was spewing a lot of particulates into the atmosphere along with the volcanic ash. Now we're in a period of very fast global warming:

Yes they are the same. How? Both are part of the natural cycle of the planet. The earth has been much warmer and much colder as well. The earth cools and warms in cycles and there is nothing you can do about it. Some day the planet will probably cease to exist too and guess what? Not a damn thing you can do about it.

no.
Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.
Global cooling in general can refer to a cooling of the Earth. More specifically, it refers to a conjecture during the 1970s of imminent cooling of the Earth's surface and atmosphere along with a posited commencement of glaciation. This hypothesis never had significant scientific support, but gained temporary popular attention due to press reports following a better understanding of ice age cycles and a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s.

no. global warming is due to carbon dioxide covering the earth that takes in the suns rays which makes it hotter and dangerous for many species if animals. power plants and vehicles produce this chemical. things that will help include reducing you electricty, buying energy star alplinces, buying cars that get more miles to the gallon (hybrid), and looking up more ways to help. also you spelled warming wrong

Obviously not. Warming and cooling are opposites. That may be why some people are using the term "climate change". That could refer to either warmer or cooler.
