Pride all was..

I wish I could say pride, but with the way our country is viewed by so many others, I don't. At the same time, I feel very lucky to live here, where I don't have to worry about bombs and whether I'll make it another day. Yes, we have problems in this country (welfare, etc.) but it could be much worse.

mixed emotions. Happy because i live in the "best" country. Yet the song has many lies "land of the free home of the brave". Hell when the song was written we had slaves. So contradictory. I know people are gonna call me a traitor and I'm being unpatriotic, but remember this is the land of free speech and I'm giving my opinion. Do I get emotional when I hear it? NO. I just think about my cousin who is fighting for a "war" that makes no sense. Every time I hear it I think about all the slaves and indians who were killed to build this country and get no recognition.

I'm proud to be an American. I am sometimes frustrated with the politicians, but love my country. Our country has many problems but it is still the best in the world.

Pride and belonging.

A feeling to honor my ancestors that built this country and to prove myself worthy of them.

Pride.. I think about all those who have fought and died representing our flag and our way of life.... When played in conjunction with Taps, I get choked up.

I get choked up and think about the glory of our country and the sacrifice of our men and women in arms.
