Thanks a bunch for being Daring enuf to have asked these poignant questions. I know many have responded by agreeing to what you have asked but have shyed away from answering them for the fear of god knows what. I have tried to speak out my views on these and many will find it offensive and sarcastically pungent. But my dears you really cant shun reality and truth.

In a public forum I have written and am all ready to defend and fight for my response.

1. Some may be giving such concessions, but we in India do not have that privilege while going on pilgrimages inside our own country even! on teh contrary people are dissuaded from going on the amarnaath yatra .

2. None. though some claim to have Hindu populace and treat them equally, but the reality is they are treated as 2nd grade citizens.

3. None, they just cant be rational and evealuate a person on his personality and merits. Why entire regimes are upturned and trown out based on the whims of the cleriks.

4. Tolerance and respect for others has pampered the minorities and even the government after nearly 60 years of independance still feela that the se ppl have just arrived after the partition and need spoon feeding, whereas may be as an exception and not a rule the minorities rejoice and pray for the victory of an Islamic nation, ridiculously even in sports which asks for a sportsman spirit!

5. Ah well how can they do that when such terror attacks are carried out on the name of Allah the ever benevolent, peaceful, & mercuful! No no tehy cant go against the wishes of Allah, even if it means a bad name to the entire community from the actions of a hanful few, even if the majority people who die or face teh brunt are their own, no they just can't see the reason of condemning such attacks.

6. Ah well electing a public figure demands his credentials and clout to be looked at and the amount of public interests he may bring to address, but No they cant do that as they feel that only a person belonging to their own community will care for them even if he is the one poisoning their breed.

7. On a radical thought I wish Hindus were Intolerant, but No we are not we are instead accomodative and respectful to other religions and hence we are a threat to them. Tch Tch what a shame we are the threat where every major temple and site of hindu importance has a Mosque back to back with it. Who encroached upon who? Nah forget it we are not talking sense are we? we are Hindus, we believe in peaceful coexistance, even if it means that we will be routed off in our own land!

8. well we gave it on the insistence of some political nitwits and the careless hurried manner the british wanted to shed off India as they left. But you HAVE to beg for such places because we ourselves have given them the weapon of being secular. and No how can we do tht they are the little brothers, let them have it, even if they shall keep wanting more to teh extent of Hindus becoming a minority in their own and only land!

9. Temple funds are a source of income for the treasury and it spends it on teh welfare of the citizens and the needy. Now Hindus are neither the citizens nor needy as they are the majority ppl living so the others get the cream while our children havent even seen milk! Even if these madarsaas and missionaries are free to stuff themselves from foreign fundings they still are poor and need to be taken care of. Apna kya hai ghar kii hee baat hai baad main dekh lenge, bhale hee wo baad kabhi aayega hee nahin.

10. Uniform civil code???? ---- Are u insane? who will then vote for them n who shall be the instrument of their rising to power and wealth, No one kills the hen which lays golden eggs.

11. You ask what way it is different? did u forgot it was teh paradise though these days all u can smell instead of saffron is burning houses and gunpowder smell. though brought upon us by tyrants n terrorists, but still arent we gracious enuf to let the army take the blame? looks good on the international papers!

12. well gandhiji was gandhiji........if you can ever reason him out do tell me too!

13. well he didnt want to hurt the public sentiment in such volatile times and thanks to the politicians then for having a strand of reason still alive in them or we'd have a caswe pending in the SC even for that! and hurting the sentiments of the majority doesnt count mind u, why? because they are the majority and hence hav eno rights but to sacrifice their fair shares for those who are still growing fatter by being spoon fed!.

Whew !! done at last.

7No one ever said that Hindus are intolerant in fact majority and friendly and tolerant as all are friends and neighbours except for a few like the ones on Yahoo answers who are trying to incite the others but the sensible ,educated and secular Hindus will not listen to such fanaticism.
8.Bharat originally was having all religions living peacefully together ,it is the British with their divide and rule policy that incited division of the 2 nations, not the Muslims. Its news to me that anyone is begging for Ayodhya,I thought it was taken over.

Very valid points. India is the only country where majority is afraid of minority. Temples are controlled by government and mosques and churches are given free hand to train terrorists and get black money from terrorist organisation.

In India Sikhs & hindus are not given support for pilgrimage, but we have Haj fund, Haj Terminal and Haj Department in South Block.

The situation is going to worsen day by day. a day is coming when our grandchildren will be pointed out Hey there goes a hindu.

The solution is not killing muslims or christians. The solution is to awaken our own pride and reviving our own culture.

I will only reply Arabia here because I am from Lebanon :

Lebanon's politics is very complex and it is the only country where posts are reserved as per religion.

the President will be a christian
the PM will be a sunni Muslim
the Speaker will be a shia
and the other Ministers will be equally distributed amongst other smaller groups...viz druzes, maronites etc etc.

Lebanon is really not a Muslim country and it is the only country where expatriates make 400% of the population.

Now Al-Queda has entered in Lebanon and a fierce fighting is going on in North between Military and militants...and all Lebanese are equally afraid of Al-Queda, be it Sunni, shia, druze or Christians

Lebanon is a test tube for Al-queda, muslim fundamentalists, Israel, SA, USA and China... anybody wishes to test their muscles...they chose this poor little country..

Well..I'm neither a muslim nor a secular like the so called 'secular parties', but would like to appreciate your effort in asking this question.

All of your points are true & valid. Out of the 15% muslims in Bharat, I can assure you that only 1% of them are patriotic in it's truest sense; while the rest are pro-Islam or pro-pakis. Just imagine, how much noise these 15% of people are generating for detention of a handful of terrorists & suspects belonging to their religion.

It's a shame that Hindus behave like Cows ready to move with the crowd being led by corrupt politicians without raising a single voice in the name of tolerance. The biggest problem is not the fundamentalist Muslims or our corrupt politicians but, infact, it's us - We have created so many divisions amongst us based on caste, creed, language, etc. that we keep stabbing each other back all the time. The day we unite as one single force, we'll prove to be formidable to anybody on this planet, be it a superpower or a terrorist group.

Dushmano ki zaroorat nahin hai,
Doston ne jo kami bhar di hai,
Maidaan-e-Jung khaali pada hai,
Tabaahi jo ghar me machi hai...!!!

Please remember, that after one thousand years of rule by Muslim kings, Hindus are still the majority. In America in a mere two hundred years most of the locals were killed off by an aggressive group of people who called themselves Christians. In Australia most of the locals are a small tiny minority waiting on the handouts of the aggressors.

Please also know that when India was divided, so were North and South Korea, North and South Vietnam, China and Taiwan and Hongkong, most countries of the middle east as well as other places which suited the British and the Anglo-Saxons who sowed seeds of discord for their own reasons and plans.

People are usually so foolish and self centered that they do not think beyond their noses. Pakistan was created by a pork eating, wine drinking Jinnah, who was an agent of England more so than a representative of Islam or Muslims. Most religious Muslims fought against the creation of Pakistan as it was dividing the Muslim community into three parts even as it was dividing the country apart and building barriers and disagreements. Then the British unleashed the riots that had never happened before to make the Muslim minority feel insecure. Then men like Jinnah who did not care for Islam began to influence the masses to create Pakistan which was opposed by the religious Muslims.

Do you know that eighty five percent of the supporters in mutiny against the British was supported by the Hindus who supported the last Mughal emperor, as the Muslim ruler was generally tolerant. Many temples were given funding and maintenance unlike what we are taught. How else do you explain so many old temples that still exist all over India? Even men such as Aurangzeb who is cited a lot as an intolerant Muslim fanatic had Hindu Rajput Generals (some of them were his cousins) leading armies of Hindu soldiers. Many of these rulers did not care for religion in any case. They would begin by killing their own brothers or in some cases even fathers. They did not represent Islam in my view.

Indian people are broad minded and have accepted new ideas and new people without reservations through out the ages. The Muslims of India were affected also by the generosity and understanding of the Hindus who lived here. THAT is the beauty of India. Now everyone lays accolades on America for being progressive and "advanced". India has had the tradition of tolerance and patience and the dignity and self confidence to accept others on their terms for centuries. Why should India become like others who are lesser and show their intolerance as a merit, when most primitive cultures are intolerant and most advanced cultures are confident and tolerant.

Intolerance to me is a sign of insecurity. I have given India as an example of tolerance to people time and again, and I see no other nation but India in the World which is a democracy YET it has a minority as the president and a minority is the prime minister and a minority person from a foreign country leads a large political party. Is that supposed to be bad?

How is tolerance affecting Hinduism? Has Hinduism not outlasted some of the tyrants that have gone in the past.

Brother, be strong and have confidence in yourself rather than allowing the "divide and rule" to divide our country and benefit only our enemies. A nation divided is a nation weakened. America has many faiths and many cultures and societies living side by side today. Even the American Indians are given reservations to control their own destinies and are given special privileges after years of persecution and abuse. When people tolerate they benefit in my view.

I am proud to be a Muslim from India, where we are given all these rights in a democracy, and I agree at times too many rights such as calling to prayers from loudspeakers in the day time. But, to me the sound of the adhaan is the announcement of tolerance of the Hindu majority also. Do not look down upon it as bad but realize that this is a special country of tolerant people, not like everyone else.

There is always more than one way of looking at things, is there not? I hope this makes sense to you. India is all about agreeing to disagree and still be friends. What do you think?

i don't really understand your point. becuase if you go to a country and the majority of the people are a certain way then wouldn't their elected officials be like them? the answer is yes they would.

3.Lebanon is a Muslim country and is 60 percent muslim and about 40 percent christian and they share that w/ Jews. but the gov't is secular, they are christian, there isn't a muslim president. so you are wrong there.

and hindus have done thing s to muslims. no group is completely innocent in anything. hindus and seiks (sp???) killed many muslims in india for no reason, except for the fact that they were muslim. and if you are a muslim country and you here the call to prayer and you don't like it then leave no one is forcing you to stay. there are many other places that you can go if you are offended. and who are you to decide who should and not give fatwas and what they should be about? what is a mullah or maulvi? these are not islamic figures. imams and sheikhs make fatwas. and fatwas pertain to muslim people. terrorism has nothing to do w/ islam. so there is no need for one ot be made. you sound very angry. but you should be mad at whoever did this not Muslims as a whole. because in most muslim countries there are no hindus. and you shouldn't tsk t the act of these few people to judge all of us. a lot of the muslims from the indian subcontinent do alot of things that are not islamic, but that are cultural. but they claim it s becuase of islam. and i know that as muslim.
