..and it sucked. Some of you may have seen my previous posts about all the problems I have encountered in my job (which is fast food by the way) and the rude co-workers I was with. Well, I had about enough of it. I went to talk to my manager today, in my uniform and all, to tell her that I want to quit and my reasons for it. She didn't even really want to hear WHY I was quitting, which I found a very poor choice. If she doesn't listen to why her employees are quitting, what's that going to do for future business? (others have considered quitting too). She was all like "This is really late notice, you could have at least called earlier." and I HAD called this weekend, but she wasn't in. I also had set up an appointment to talk to her about my concerns a couple weeks back with another manager..and either he never told her about it or she totally ignored it. Either way, they didn't care or take me seriously. I offered to keep working this week, but she just made me leave.What do you think

i think you did the right thing. she is a poor manager and you know it. from the sounds of it so does everyone else. dont look back, find something new. i am proud of you for trying so hard and for so long. it was also big of you to offer to work, especially after being blown off so many times before.
good luck on your search for a new job, im rooting for ya ♥

Hey;
I remember your previous post and you were NOT happy with your position...Good for you for quitting, I would have just held on until I had another job to go to so I would have some $$$$. EIther way, I think U did the right thing. You only live once on this Earth and why should your summer be miserable with this job? Good Luck!

You probably should work a 2 week notice. A 2 week notice is the industry standard. You don't want to burn any bridges. Who knows, you may need to go back to work for them sometime down the road. But since you already have a job to start Monday, I guess you just explain to them that you have a new job.

Good for you! Since this is your first job, use this experience as a learning one,.. You had learn a big lesson, never let anyone walk all over you,, It took me over 12 years to realize this lesson, Just relax for the rest of the summer, take a mental break form this job, ,, and concentrate on school
the next time give at least two weeks notice, it will look good on your resumes.. Some places of employment will just let you go on the spot even when you give two weeks notice,,

The place is not being managed well. In the fast-food industry turnover is so great, managers don't really care too much about their employees.
Move on. Try a different job other than fast food.

Good for you!! So many people stay, working in misery. Your boss did not sound very mature or caring. She will come to regret those traits!!
Take two days off to clear your head, and then get back out there and find a job you really like.

I wouldn't expect much better from any fast food place, to be honest. It's a shame but, that's usually how it goes. Hopefully your next job will be better and more substantial.

I think you start looking for a new job. The last one wasn't making you happy anyway, so it will end up being for the best.
