I work in a bakery in a supermarket, so we don't bake our own bread, it's all boxed and that, but even still, we have SO much to do every morning, there are so many different types of rolls and then you've got pastries, and breads like loafs etc.

The best thing you can do is work in a bakery (a proper old fashioned one) for at least a month, if you still like all the hard work involved and the annoyingly early mornings, then do a cookery course in relation to a bakery, also talk to the owner of the bakery you do the work experience in, and find out how they got started, do they ever regret it etc.

As for how much it'll cost, well it'll depend on the rent and location of where you're setting up, how technological you want your equipment, how many staff you want to employ etc etc, talk to the bakery owner about how much his/her stuff costs.

This really depend on your region and your specialty - call you local chamber of commerce and see if there is a baker willing to let yo come and interview them. There are several programs through the chamber and SBA that will partner start ups with experienced companies to help you succeed. Good Luck!

Price ranged depends on where you live and if the shop you're buying or renting comes with any equipment or if you'll have to buy it all.

A day in the life means working before the sun comes up so all your product is fresh since mornings are your busiest.
