The honest truth is your dog can eat anything you do in small amounts. I'm not saying to give him 8 candy bars, but one bite will not kill him (contrary to popular misinformation spread here). Many things are not good for him. But in small amounts they won't kill him either. Dogs will dig in garbage cans if the have the chance and be happy about what they find. Do you really think you are going to feed him anything that toxic? Of course not. Just feed him whatever you want, but don't feed him the "bad" stuff in big amounts. If you have garlic bread and the beast licks it, he is not going to die from garlic contamination. If you eat a hersey's bar and the dog eats one square, he will live to see another sunrise. Nothing you eat is that toxic. Dogs are a lot stronger and healthier than we give them credit for. I have a golden who loves to eat grapes off the vine. When I see the hogwash about grapes killing them, I just look at my 95lb dog and smile because I know better.

And you can feed any raw meat bones and all, but cooked bones (poultry) will splinter. But you don't eat poultry bones either, so just remember if you eat it your dog can too in modest amounts.

Carrots are a great treat and are not fattening. Feeding your dog human food shouldn't be the issue, feeding them a diet balanced with their nutritional needs should be the 1st priority. There are several highly reccommended high quality dog foods and there are also raw food diets or home diets that are a wonderful source of balanced diet, but it takes a lot of research on your part to find out which one will work best for you and your dog. The Whole Dog Journal has a splendid array of diets and they also have a list of good retail dog food and bad retail dog food.

The only two things that I can think of that dogs shouldn't eat are onions,, cause anemia, and chocolate.

Our dogs have eaten everything from chicken, beef, pork, to carrots, broccoli, and potatoes.

However a prepared dog food is more balanced in nutrition than just feeding off the table.

Human food is actually better for your dog, just more expensive. Dogs are carnivores (meat eaters) and need meat. Raw is best. However, introduce your do to it gradually, not all at once. I would start with boiled chicken (skin and all) with rice. Beef, with rice is also good. Any grain with meat combination would be good for your dog. No need to season, the meats natural flavor is enough. Raw red meat is good once they have been on the cooked meat for a while.

a lot of foods for your dog are non toxic. so it's okay to feed it to them. just make sure to not give them too much or they'll want human food every day.
a dog will eat almost anything so u have to make sure to not give them these foods:
chocolate, fat, chicken bones, onions, and spoiled, rotten, or molded foods
these foods can cause disease and may hurt your dog.
but everything else is perfectly fine for your dog to eat.

Many dog breeders make their own dog food.
Basically they will make a large batch of rice, and add chicken or beef plus vegetables and vitamins. You can find recipes on the net..look for home made dog foods, or organic dog foods.
Make sure you check out what protiens, vitamins and minerals your dog needs to be healthy and make sure that its all included in your food.

Well I feed my dog, bread! He Loves bread, and also bagels. I suggest you dont feed him apples, chocolate, or onions. The apples, has seeds in them, and the seeds are poisonous. Onions, and choclate, are poisons, a lot of people knows that, Though since I have a bag of iams, i put off the bread, and feed him the iams.

there are alot of human foods that arent harmful to dogs health. although most ppl will say dont feed them table food it will spoil them since i dont think thats what your asking im not going to say dont do it. boneless skinless chicken, rice, beef broth, chicken broth, cooked eggs, cooked or raw apples alot of veggies actually. the only real problem you face is upsetting your dogs tummy if he isnt used to eating this way.

There are many - meat, for one - but make sure to do your research before you feed your dog, lest your dog get sick!

If you want to make food for your dog, ask your vet for recommendations for recipes and such - good luck!

Cheese, cottage cheese, carrots, apples, meat (no bones!), chicken (definitely no bones!), rice, boiled hamburger, and my dogs favorite, cheese puffs! (They don't get many of those. NOT high on the list for nutrition!)
