Do you:

1. Pray to god for him
2. Believe it's all part of gods plan, and walk away
3. Let another person assist him because you think that's part of gods plan OR
4. Assist him even thoughy ou know you may be interfering with gods plan and it could have been any of you.

How do you know that it's not god's plan for someone else to help? Or if you're supposed to help? Do you pray first for guidance? Wouldn't god be pretty p***ed if you interfered with his plan?

I would pray and help and try to save him. And if I saved him I would be happy and if I didn't save him, then I would take whatever comfort I could find knowing that I did what I could.

Lucky for me I have never been in that position..... I think if I was truly in that position I would be trying to remember the correct way to give CPR.... they keep changing it every year it seems. Is it 5 quick breaths or three??? Now I need a CPR refresher course!

How about

5. Call 911, pray for the man, watch for the ambulance, and know that all of what happens is God's plan .....

I would never just leave him there and say I'm interfering... because you're right.... God puts people who help in certain situations too for a reason.... I never think it's interferring to try and save a life... Do all you can to help and in the end Gods will be done.

I call 911 and do nothing else, because if I do anything to him and he dies, his family can sue me for doing the wrong thing.

Seriously, if you do CPR and someone dies anyway, you can be blamed.

Yay lawyers. As for God, well heck, if God wanted the guy alive, he could have spared the heart attack, right? Come on :p If his plan was for me to be a hero he should have let me know in advance. I'm not taking unnecessary chances.

I would look at it as: God put me here at this moment when this guy is having a heart attack, to give me the opportunity to help him the best that I can.

I would rush to help him, praying the whole time for God to guide me to do CPR correctly, call 911 without fumbling the numbers, or assist this guy in whatever way I can.

interesting question- but if I just let him lay there and walk away, I would be wrong- if I just prayed and walked away, I would be wrong too
here is my option, that is not included in yours
1- I would pray , I would call 911 and then I would leave him to God- why? Because if I walked away, and He died it could be my fault He died. If I prayed only, 911 would not have been called immediately- and also if I do both, I can leave the scene knowing my Christian love was put into action- if it is his time to die he will, even with medical attention but if not, then I am not accountable. We are to pray and act.

Since I am trained to do so, I would administer CPR, until ambulance came, because I sent someone to call 911, knowing full well that his chances of survival are less than 8% since he dropped and needs CPR. Then once he was being cared for by the paramedics, I would be praying for him and his family.

Well, maybe you would waste time worrying about God's plan but lets say that heart attack victim was you, Do you want me to stand there and try to figure out what the plan might be before I call 911?

Well, I'm not CPR certified and barly remember what they do on TV ... so I would start with the prayers and then let God carry us from there.

Since you're names "Foot Prints in the Sand" ... I'm assuming you've read this poem ... and that's exaclty what I'd do ... go into auto piolet and let my will guided by God take over.

I asked about the girl that died on a ride at a Christian festival Saturday afternoon and was told repeatedly that it's all part of God's plan. Having learned from this, I would walk away. If God had wanted to me do something about it, apparently he would have sent me to medical school.

Or is it God's plan for me to use the training that I have been given in first aid to help him in every way possible in order to bring glory to God and not except any compensation from the gentleman afterwards.

I would help, just like the Sumarian man.
