Okay, i feel stupid, but....?

I feel stupid even asking this, but what is that red sauce that chinese use to dip meats and rice in, i mean like blood red if it helps. thanks in advance!

Fake red / orange color- it's sweet and sour sauce.

If it is sweet: Cherry Sauce
Vinegar tasting: Sweet and Sour
Ketchup like: Fish Sauce
Spicy: Chile Sauce
