I just got out of this myself.... you can't. For what ever reason, a liar is a liar, and they won't change. Not for you and not because you want them to.
It is something that has to come from inside of them, and they have to WANT to change. I would not expect that.
It's hard, but if he can't be honest with you, he is NOT worth staying with. He will lie, and that will lead to ZERO trust in your relationship.
You deserve better than that!
Go find a Great Guy!!! There are honest and faithful guys (like me) looking for Great, honest and faithful girls!!!

LYING...this is an evil that that you have no control over where your boyfriendn is concerned. He has to be the one to make the decision that his words will be truthful- no matter what - and at any cost. You cannot keep people from lying. However, there is one way that you can help yourself in determining if someone is lying to you. 1) The shifting of the eyes to the right or left. 2) hesitation or stutttering, or lowering the voice. 3) shifting from one foot to the other. Finally, you be the one who is observant of your boyfriend. Liars have a tendency to tell one lie to cover another. If he is cheating or lying and you have had enough - leave him. Most of the time, people like this will never change. I am sure you can do better.

Yea o.k so many questions on here about how do you keep someone from doing something or making someone do something. The anwser is you can not keep someone from lying or cheating. You definately can't make somone love you. Unless you are pychic then there is no definate way of knowing if he is lying or cheating. You can try and kind of be a stalker and look through his email on this computer or check his phone for messages or text messages. That is a little wierd though and not right. You can ask him. He probably won't tell you he is lying or cheating though.

If he is lying to you you can't keep him from it...if you usupect he is cheating then he probably is...run while you can! Don't spend the rest of your life always wondering if he is telling the truth there are better fish in the sea! At least ones that don't lie or cheat!

You shouldnt have to worry about this...you shouldnt be asking this question...you cant keep him from lying to you trust me i went through that to he always lied to me no matter how many times he had hurt me. If you think he is lying to you he probably is if you think he cheating on you then you gotta think about that for awhile and ask yourself if you really want to be with this guy or not. you cant change anyone

I think the same thing as you. My boyfriend and i have been going out for 11 months and I am not sure if i can trust him. the thing is, you must trust him. Trust is everything. If he goes out of his way to be with you, then he is a great boyfriend and he wont cheat on you=] best of luck

Explain to him that each time you find out he has been dishonest with you, it breaks down the relationship a little more. Tell him a man is only as good as his word!
