How can I get my daughter out of wicca?
My daughter has joined a devil cult called wicca. I'm a god fearing man and I don't know what to do about it. She's stopped bathing and started drawing pentagrams (which my pastor told me are devil footprints) on her school books.
If this doesn't stop I may have to ground her or lock her in her room until she changes her mind. I've tried ministering to her, and invited my friends over to help, but we can't seem to shift this dark cover over her.
Does anyone here know how to get my daughter out of this trash and help her on the road to recovery and a normal, healthy life?
God Bless You All

LabGrrl - perhaps, perhaps he is actually insane. In either case posting something of this nature is extremely dangerous, for, just in case, he 'might' be serious?

Dear sir,
I am sure you are well intentioned in this matter. You might be interested to know that Wiccans do not believe in the devil. They are a peace loving, Earth based religious group who are not interested in harming anyone or anything. A pentagram is not a devil's footprint, it is just a very ancient symbol, which actually was used by Christianitiy in the Middle Ages, and it simply stands for earth, air, water, fire, and spirit.
A little knowledge goes a long way. If you would like to do some research about what Wicca is and what it is not, you will certainly be reassured that this spiritual path is very gentle, not dangerous, and has many of the elements that you have in Christianity, such as doing good toward others, and harming no one.
I hope you can perhaps consider the possibility that Wiccans are not associated with devils, even though your pastor said they are, because the truth is, devils are in Christian teachings but are not a part of Wicca. And a good and open dialogue with your daughter about her intentions and her questions might be a good idea, to keep the lines of communication open.
You have the impression that Wicca is dark and bad, but perhaps you might feel differently if you looked into it for yourself.
I wish you all blessings on this journey with you and your daughter and pray that it all comes out well for both of you!
Bright Blessings,
Lady Morgana )0(

Have you ever read up on the tenets of Wicca? From what I recall it's not a religion that worships the devil, it's a feminist sect that worships nature and the elements. It sounds to me like your daughter may be getting an incomplete version of Wicca - most likely for social purposes and to "look cool". I would say try to read up on it and have a discussion with her about it - trying to get to the core of "does she really believe this" or is she just doing it to be part of a crowd. Either way, you will have more knowledge about what she is doing and what to expect. As far as a "normal, healty life" I think that is very self-defined. The best professor I ever had in college was a member of the Wiccan church. Like I said, get yourself some knowledge and don't try to change her, try to lead her in a decent direction - even if it's not exactly what you belive.

No. Freedom of Religion means ALL Religion despite what Arthwit Rail thinks. I have a better Question: Should Christians be brought up on charges of Child Endangerment for teaching them from a Book that consistently contradicts itself? Rev. Dr. Donald Betz D.D.

Let her know that Wicca and its entirety is breaking God's Law. #1 Idolatry- Bowing down to nature, seeking the supernatural other than the Lord. #2 "rebellion is as sin as witchcraft "esp.against the parents. I would give her privacy in her own room but away from home: Who? Where? What? I mean if it does get bad you could bring the law into it I mean this world is crazy and I'm from a small town and I know the things that happen just in my backyard I keep my eyes on my kids like a momma crocodile.
Satan Comes to Steal Kill and destroy, He comes like a lion. "be smarter than the serpent but gentle as a dove"
She is in big time rebellion. Stay steadfast in the Word and find some Scriptures put'em on the wall or mirrors so they can continue to be going through your mind and hers. Unfortunately you can't" beat her over the head "with the Bible but be an example that's the best. There's Christian music that can be good influence When I was a youth music was my fave thing in the world and now the Christian music is Awesome. Take over your house again -your the Parent Have people come over again let'em pray in her room it may take just once or years But there is always hope and trust in OUR Lord that the Blood of Jesus will cover her and her surroundings that she may find that place where all she can do is Look up like the rest of us has! She'll be in my prayers!!

Dearest Goddess, I hope he's a troll. Unfortunately, I've seen reactions that were even more extreme than his.
I did answer his post, perhaps a little more harshly than usual, but if he's for real then sweet reason will have no impact. If he's serious, than I feel sorry for his daughter, and I hope she finds what she needs. My prayers are with her.

I went and posted. I've given him and his pastor a right beating. Respectfully, as usual. I have stuck up for the young lady, and all of the people who ever get abused by Christianity.
And I am shamed to know that there are still members of my 'intelligent' species who are this ignorant.
I can only hope that his eyes open before he invites harm to his house.
May peace go with you throughout your life.

I'm more with a lot of the Wiccan answers, that person is obviously a troll. However, if he is in fact real, and he has chosen to treat his teenage daughter in that manner, then the situation will resolve itself. Not happily, mind you, but it will be resolved. When she runs away because living on the streets is better than living in his puritanical, repressive house.

i dont see why its so bad for her 2 follow what she believes. maybe her father can start by asking her questions about her beliefs and telling her why HE thinks its wrong and asking HER why she thinks its OKAY!!
if you want some1 to change thats not right people should be able to belive what they want to believe and not be judged by it. i dont think its right
him being her dad you can say that you dont think its right and ASK her to stop but there's not defs in this
i hope i helped
ps remeber to ask her about how she feels bc you need to tell her how you think
