My favorite childhood snack food was Little Debbie's "Devil Twins"... Does anyone know what happened to them or if there is a way to still get them? Swiss rolls and devil squares are NOT the same thing! I am hoping some Little Debbie employee reads this! :)

The only thing that they make now that is similar to what you are talking about is called Little Debbie Devil Cremes. They do still make a Banana Twin cake though.

They still make them but they are not distributed to all stores you might want to request them so they stock tham at your grocer.

You could probably make a reasonable copy with devils food cake mix a mandolin pan and and the following filling recipe:
Creme Filling
1 cup milk
5 tablespoons flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 cup cold butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix flour with milk and boil until thick.
(It will be very thick) Cool.
Beat until fluffy and add other ingredients one at a time beating well after each addition.
Put between layers of cooled cake.
Let stand one day to develop flavor.
I wrap individually in plastic wrap.

Have Fun!

My daughter-in-law's father used to work for that kind of company, but I haven't got a clue. They may have Little Debbie package in your store and you could call the number on the package.

It is no longer on their product list so I guess they stopped making them. http://www.littledebbie.com/products/cakes_brownies.asp
