Yes, it has to do with the level of maturity.
A 14 year old who hangs around malls and goes to movies and talks about school is not going to get along with a 28 year old who works. The only reason for a relationship like that would be sex/ pedophile.
usually before 20 years old an age difference of 2-3 years is ok.
After 20 to 30 3-4 years and after that it doesn't really matter.

Not as long as both of you are of legal age and enjoy each others company. If you truly care and love that person you both can look past all kinds of things. I notice in today's world people frown on older women dating younger men, which is so sad and unfair. Every where you go you will see an older man dating a much younger woman, people don't frown on that as much. This world can be so unfair at time, don't base your relationships on what other people think. Go with your heart and best of luck to the both of you.

It shouldn't but it depends how big the age difference is. And the maturity level too. Some girls like to date older guys because they are more mature and they get the whole "dating" thing better.
