I just read in the news today that the Catholic church apologized for all of the child molestation cases and paid a record $666 million dollar settlement fee to all of the victims.
They also turned over records of abuse cases from within the church. Did Jehovah's witnesses ever apoligize to the victims and turn over names in their database full of child molesters they kept from the police? Or are they still covering it up and refusing to take responsibility?

Cathy, they did lose a case and made a payout to a few victims, but they keep the details hush hush. The database exist, quit being blind.

Most Christian denominations are still in cover up mode.
They will continue this for as long as they can get away with it, because it is too expensive otherwise.
Unfortunately, most Christian denominations are willing to sacrifice a few childhoods in order to save face and money.
It is shameful.

They made a monetary settlement with the victims, and part of the settlement included a gag order. So don't expect a public apology. They want to sweep this under the rug as quickly as possible.
I can't believe the JWs are saying "IF this happened..."!! How could you be a part of an organization and not even know what is being reported about it in mainstream media? Wait, maybe the media is "persecuting" them as well... Sheesh!

Jehovah's Witnesses will deny this even happened and blame it on "rumors" spread by "apostates". Unlike the Catholic church, the Watchtower won't even acknowledge that the problem even exists.

If there were no convictions in these cases, if they even exist, then there may not be anything to apologize for/there may not be any culpability in the first place. Oh, and unless you have proof that this database exists, I wonder if you might not be looking at a libel charge.
Edit: Well, if they lost a case that changes things. I thought it was just several accusations with no proof presented.

I didn't even know about that. Public apology is expected, but most importantly they need to repent of their adding and twisting of the scriptures. And making Jesus an angel. And all the other sick things they came up with.

They have gone far beyond apology.
However, they are discrete enough to keep such matters confidential.
Only those that must know, do know.

Why apologize for anything when you have God on your side?
