Yep, that is pretty ironic.
But Gordon's car wouldn't look right without the flames no matter which sponsor is on it.
His car is famous for the flames.

Never thought of it actually. In that same irony made me think of this guy I know who at 13 was helping his uncle do some electrical work in this small bathroom and it caught on fire. Poor kid was burnt on 70% of his body or something and he started smoking as a teenager and still does at almost 40. Thats weird to me.
