Sour Cream
Creamed corn
Chopped chives
prosciutto thin slices chopped up and then lightly fried until crispy
Combine altogether but reserve some of the prosciutto and put on top
All my friends love this and I serve it with thin slices of a french stick that I have drizzled with a tiny bit of good extra virgin olive oil and baked until crisp. As soon as it comes out of the oven rub them with the cut side of a garlic clove, but only very lightly as the garlic flavour will be too strong.

In a food processor, finely chop onion, add cream cheese, pulse to process again.
Add crab meat and quickly process for a few seconds.
Dill weed and paprika may be added for extra color.
Place in a pie pan type dish and bake at 350F for approximately 20-25 minutes or until well heated through.

Easy spinach dip. Half bag of fresh spinach in the microwave for approx 3 min until the bottom is wilted but the top is still quite crispy (or use frozen spinach but I think fresh tastes better). Drain most of the water off (watch out, the spinach will be hot-stick it in a sieve and use a wooden spoon or something). Chop coarsely. Add one tub of sour cream and one package of Hidden Valley powdered ranch dressing and mix. Thats it. Serve in a round sourdough breadbowl if available, with the bits of bread you cut out around the edges for dipping. Not hugely sophisticated, but extremely yummy! My football watching housemates and friends were also very fond of onion dip made with a tub of sour cream and a package of powdered French onion soup, but I wasn't as fussed with that..........
Also if you can get fresh avocado, guac is a gift. Mush up the avocados with lime juice to taste (watch out, I added waaaaaay too much last time I did it!) chopped fresh chillies (again to taste) and fresh coriander. Make sure you get the lime juice in quickly though, it stops the avocado going brown. Very nice with mango added, again if you are in the position to get good ripe ones.
Or the old traditional tomato salsa, chopped tomato, red onion and chillies with lots of fresh coriander (and I like a squeeze of lime in that too, but that might just be me). And good with optional cucumber for added crunch if that's your thing.
Nothing very unusual in there, but all quick and easy.

my favorite----it is good w/ veggies or crackers...
1-16 oz container of sour cream
1 package of veggie soup mix---if you buy the kind that has 2 packages in 1 box, just use 1 package and save the other...
Take a rolling pin or something of that nature and roll it over the package of soup mix----add it a little bit at a time to the sour cream and enjoy!!!
