If he knew everything, there's nothing that couldmake him feel emotion, i.e., he couldn't be suprised when the world ends, because he already knew when it was going to happen. there are plenty more examples, so, he can't be both.

Divinity is not humanity, but in order for humans to get the smallest idea of what Divinity is, the concept must be put in terms that humans can understand.

This is the reason for the idea that "God is Love". Notice this is not feels love or understands love or is the root of love or loves humans or requires humans to love.

Divinity is not a person sitting up on a cloud looking down on Earth. Divinity is the person and the cloud and the Earth and much more. Considering that many people can't remember what they had for breakfast yesterday, it is not surprising that the concept of All-knowing is way out of human ability to understand.

Divinity is both inside and outside of the space-time continuum. Humanity only is aware of a fleck of dust on the inside.

There are plenty of other emotional states of being besides surprise. How about love, empathy, sorrow, joy, just to name a few. If you believe in the God of the Bible, then you know we are made in His image. I believe that refers to how we are made up spiritually as well as the physical. C'mon I mean really.... how could you look at the elephant or the hippo, or giraffe and say God doesn't have a sense of humor?

That's like asking how can you feel sad and happy at the same time. Does a priest or monk feel emotion ? Sure they do, although they are trained to detach...I am under the impression that God feels emotion but he does not own it or become consume by it.

Besides the obvious, there's no logical link between human emotions and God's knowing of all things. One does not depend on the other .

God can feel emotion because He came and lived as a person (in the body of Jesus Christ). He came to dwell with us, and now he understands us and makes intercession with God the Father on our behalf.

When I lost my son, I often wondered if God sacrificed His son in order to know. Hmmmmmmmm?
Then I immediatly thought, "He survived".
