First of all, it is inappropriate that your dad would try to discuss your mom's love life with you. Secondly, are you sure the family friend isn't your mom's new boyfriend?...not that it's any of your dad's business either way.
Next time your dad starts up with that, say, "Dad, it makes me feel uncomfortable talking about that with you. If you have a question about who Mom's dating, ask Mom." That will shut him up, as well as remind him that you are his child, not the go-between spy for your parents' love lives. Jeez!!!!!

If your mom and dad split, and she's living with another guy (friend), then chances are that she's sleeping with him. You can paint your mom a saint if you want to, but you might want to be ready to meet other 'friends of the family'.

How do you know they are not linked up?
If you do not want to hear your dad say it, tell him. If he continues, don't visit him.

Your Dad is jealous and is a bit upset, you need to tell him straight out. To please stop, it bothers you, and that it's not true.
