Yuck- I hate camping. My idea of roughing it is staying at the Holiday Inn, LOL. However, sometimes you've gotta suck it up for your man and show him that you can be Outdoors Girl sometimes. Maybe you can work out a nice compromise- "Ok, honey, we can go camping this weekend if we can go to Vegas next month," or "sure, babe- I'll rough it with you this weekend, but next weekend I'm going to a day spa with the girls and you can take care of the house and kids while I'm gone."

Go with a positive attitude and you might have fun! Some tips: It sounds really really disgusting, but bring an empty bucket, like a paint bucket, with a trash can liner in it to use as a makeshift potty. It's WAY more comfortable than squatting behind a tree! Also, Cottonelle wipes work great to give you that fresh feeling afterwards.

Also, don't freak out about bears. I'm assuming Hubby knows a bit about camping since he used to go there with his family all the time, so just follow his instructions about how to store food, etc. so you don't attract bears. Happy camping!!

Dont be so frightened about the wild life that will be around you. Learn a little bit about the area and the safety procautions to take and learn a bit about the animals as well. Take it as a learning experiance and enjoy yourself!!! The bears have just a much right to be there as you do so put some more faith in your husband.

In all the years theyve gone has anyone been eaten by a bear? Just keep food in containers so nothing is lying around. Ive run into a bear before and it was scared of me and ran.

As long as you don't go there on the 20th anniversary of that night when all those teenagers were killed by that guy with the hook, you'll be fine.

Just leave out some treats for the bears (they love marshmallows and uncooked hot dogs) just outside your tent so they know you're a friend and you'll be fine.

You'll be fine, I bet your husband knows all the precautions he has to take not to attract them........ if not just google it. Most wild animals will try and stay away from humans, unless they are attracted by the scent of food.... with bears (and other animals like raccoons) you have to make sure your food is secure and not able to waft out smells.... even the trash has to be secure........ just make your worries known to your husband because he used to vacation there he probably knows about it all....
