I got a ticket for running a red light, which I didn't think was red when I entered the intersection. When I looked at the ticket, the street that is listed is not the street I was on. The street that is listed on the ticket does not have a stop light at the intersection I supposedly ran the light at. Also, the street that is listed is a one way street headed south, and the traffic states I was headed north (which I was).

Any hope of getting this thrown out if I go to court?

No....

A traffic ticket can be amended at any time up until the day it is resolved by paying it or you going to court.

Go the court, the officer will ask for an amendment at the beginning of the hearing.

Sorry, no. The information can and will be amended at court. Only hope you have if the officer doesn't show up to court or he he shows up but cannot identify you as the violator. Mistakes such as spelling, street names, time, date are always amended as police officers make mistakes too.

You have a very good chance of having it thrown out.

When you go to court mention just what you have mentioned here except don't admit you ran the light at all.

Good LUck

I was a police officer for a while and I do not think it is going to matter. If your name was wrong or the violations was wrong then I would say yes, but the street name being wrong is probably not going to matter.

Sorry.

Can or no longer it incredibly is brushed off on that technicality? particular. Will or no longer it incredibly is brushed off? perchance. it incredibly relies upon on the jurisdiction and maximum severely the decide. some judges will throw it out in a heartbeat. Others won't even want to hearken to what you will desire to assert touching directly to the "technicality".

I think so. Tell it to the judge.

I got a ticket once with the wrong state for the plate.
I ignored that one.
