Wish I knew what lift you had. I just finished the install of a Rubicon Express SuperRide on my 92 Cherokee last night, springs and full leafs. The ride feels a bit stiffer but I can feel the higher center of gravity in corners, but nothing too drastic. I have no experience with add-a-leafs but I have heard nothing but bad things about them. If you are seriously worried about gas mileage then don't install the lift. BFG mudders are good tires but they wear fast on the street. Best to go with BFG TA KO's. They are perfect for the capabilities your lift will allow and limit your Jeep to do. My best advise is to reserve about $40 for a transfer case lowering kit. Its easy to install and you'll probably need it to compensate for the pinion angle at your transfer case.

Much depends on the quality of the lift, which shocks you go with, and if they are installed EXACTLY right. I am running a 4" short arm drop suspension with Rancho RSX 9000 shocks-rear and trailmaster shocks front, and 31 10.5 15's BFG All Terrain and my jeep rides better than most stock jeeps. I do mildly agressive trails in Colorado, and had to cut fenders to prevent rub, but with snorkel acting as Ram air, I can get 19-20 MPG highway.

I have done this several times and my wifes 96' XJ currently has a 3" rough country lift {blocks/ add-a-leaf rear & springs in front} and it does ride harder than stock but not terrible. She runs 31 Mud tires on grand cherokee wheels as they have a little more offset. They handle better and look better then stock wheels. Lost about 1-2 mpg but with lockers in the axle it goes SOOO much better of road.

Depends if you add more springs yes blocks no. tires will make the roll out longer some time this helps. All depends on stick =auto what gear your turning. But 31" is not that big.The mud part look cool sounds like crap an tire mileage sucks. They wear out faster than a/ts Are you off road all the time if so mud if not ? If it's a CJ than it can gets top heavy best to go with a offset rim to widen the stance makes it safer. When going up. The 3" lift an tire height could be 5=6 in height??

i have a 89 jeep cherokee 4x4 with a 5 inch lift(3inch skyjacker with 2 inch spacers) and 32 in bfg's mudds and it feels great...a 3inch shouldn't change much..and the gas ain't gonna change drastically only if you drive on roads that have alot of hills to em...the drive quality will vary depending on the brand of lift you get.....wont change the turning but might change your braking bc its alot harder to stop larger tires epically on a small jeep so be prepared to stop earlier than usual......my advise if you want the same quality as stock get OLD MAN EMU LIFT a bit pricey but better quality...also for a 3 inch lift i dont think you have to go as far as getting your transfer case dropped i have the 5 and i didnt drop mine and it works just fine

The raise probably won't impact your transmission or you gasoline financial gadget besides the undeniable fact that it quite impact your known using convenience. A raised suspension skill a extra physically powerful center of gravity which could make it extra common to throw the vehicle off stability mutually as cornering at larger speeds. The 15x8 rims would desire to provide it a much broader stance which helps, although this would effect your milage because the two the sides and tires would be heavier. it incredibly is going to additionally enable extra wind to bypass under vehicle making it look like it incredibly is lifting off at larger speeds. additionally, in open valleys or factors with stable crosswinds you're affected extra suitable than popular. Suspension lifts additionally mean extra wheel return and forth it is great for off-roading or airborne dirt and dirt roads. Oh, and stuff seems closer than it is. in case you're transforming into the raise just to make your vehicle look cool, i would not. in case you're transforming into it to truly have a purpose than choose for it. in basic terms remember to are taking turns sluggish till you get used to the way it drives. My chum rolled his 'ninety seven ford ranger suitable after he have been given his raise kit put in.

The ride quality. not good to begin with, will get even harsher and firmer. The extra weight of the tires and hardware can cut your mileage by as much as 2 MPG.
