I will over do the salt... I get impatient with putting a little and tasting so I put a bunch and hope that it isn't too much and not too little and sometimes it works and other times it totally ruins whatever I am cooking.

I have a few ... but I'll tell my main two bad habits ...
One is not checking on the food when I'm supposed to ... I usually diddle-daddle with something like the T.V. or computer and sometimes the things get overcooked or burnt ...
And another is whenever I have something on my hands, I usually just wipe on the bottom of my shirt or the top of my pants, so sometimes I ended up with food ALL over my outfit:: this is when a handy-dandy apron comes to the rescue ...

OK So we've all agreed not to eat dinner over your house. Btw a way to stop doing that is to buy a large box of teaspoons -1000+ toss a couple in your shirt/jacket pocket and then do " taste and toss " with them
My worst habit is that I too use a lot of stuff to cook with.

No question: I always try to use a smaller bowl, pot or utensil than is really needed for the task, in the deranged belief that it will be less trouble to wash than a larger one would be. And every time I find that I need the bigger one after all, which leaves me with 2 dirty items to wash instead of one--double the work! Clever, eh?

Timing... My family and friends know that dinner will always be an hour later than I had planned - even when I account for it being an hour later.
My family thinks my worst habit is using every pot and pan in the kitchen to cook a meal. They just don't like doing dishes... lol!

Like many others - I use too many pots and pans. I also get a bit too Ainsley Harriet and start shoogling pans about - the result for me however is that the food goes all over the counter!

Mine is going too fast, and dropping food on the counter, stove, floor.
I love to cook, but I hate to clean up - so when I make a mess it's just extra work for me.
(When I was growing up the dog used to eat whatever I dropped on the floor. LOL)

There is nothing like licking the bowl clean after the cake mixture has gone into the oven.

Falling asleep. I can now tell what food is burning by the smell. Peas have a gorgeous chocolate smell, its a shame they don't taste like it.

Eating as I cook then complaining I am full after I have served the meal and leaving my girlfriend to eat alone.
Selfish I know. I will try and change.
