Almost any insurance provider in the Country gives 'better' car insurance than 'Tesco' - the lack of cover is the reason why it is so cheap.

Why not contact an insurance broker and get a decent insurance policy for once?

To Spensmum - I suggest that you look at the Quinn Direct Insurance policy very carefully - and you'll find why it is so cheap. I mean - did you know that if you were speeding then the policy is invalidated?

I used comparethemarket.com and the cheapest quote they returned was with Autotrader insurance. A lot depends on your age, gender and the vehicle you drive etc. Just keep shopping around and you'll get a cheaper quote.

The best way to do is search it on the net. dont stick for only one car insurance company. Go for an online quotation so that you can compare prices of different car insurance companies. You can try to use this site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com for your reference and also an access to the different car insurance provider.

Go online to confused.com and register your details with them. You fill in one form and they then find you the cheapest quote.

I would call around & see who offers the best rates for a similar plan. (Progressive offered the best rates around here, but may be different in your area.) Also, if you own a house, get married, or have a garage, the insurance usually goes down--ask what other details may make the cost go down.
