And, would it be a good idea to add to your appeal?:

"Please investigate the person(s) who reported me for abuse of the "reprort abuse" icon".

Is abridgement of "freedom of expression" usually unfair?

dear cat eyes, Your idea sounds great. Wow! lets work on that plan.

I hope most people do not delete their violation notices - they could be used for a giant raid to yahoo customer care.

I received so darn many I am now minus over 60pts..I think appealing them may be useless. what I don't understand is why some of us were targeted (like me) and not others?! Also, some were removed!...
Is it worth it appealing? Will they really take it seriously if everyone of us appeal at the same time?!

***Okay, I will save my violations notices...just let's coordinate the sending appeals.

****Debbie, my answers were really benign some even valid yet they were deleted and deemed violable. I ended one answer with bleh..how's that violable?

***Mona I received TEN violations...unfairly really

***DARTH I do not believe any of my/our contacts or raid participants turn each other in. It was that self-proclaimed genius, she blatanly announced she was turning all of us in. She was a busy lady last night.

when you tick someone off...they report you for every answer you give or have given.
Then Yahoo has to sort through the piles of abuse to see if there really was a reason. Just putting a link will not really get you kicked off yahoo.
You have to do a gross sin to get the boot.

read the guidelines.
ALWAYS explain why you gave the answer you did. They are sitting in an office wondering if you meant to be a jerk.

Funny you should mention this... For the first time ever, yesterday, two of my removed questions and answers were reposted because the violation was appealed and I won... Did Yahoo hire someone with a soul????

Yes..but It does not seem to have any effect.."The Brotherhood" is too powerful... I had 3 violations notices this morning..after having gone 10 months, with only 2 or 3.

LOL...I'm beginning to think Yahoo has a bit of tiny print added waaaaaayy at the bottom like Willie Wonka has...
I got a violation because I gave a link to a site that evidently Yahoo doesn't like so therefore was in violation of their telling people to add links if we know of any to back up what we are speaking about...

I'm not even going to bother..

Peace be with you :)

P.S * I'm a "fundie"...get no special treatment, lol

May I please use this opportunity to speak about something that occurred last night?

One of my contact's response to one of my questions was reported. I did not report the answer. I've never reported answers from any of my contacts. Or from any of the R & S regulars. I just wanted to make this clear, because my contact thought I had been offended at her answer. I was not. My contact is a sweet person.

Strangely, the question was not reported.

Yep. I've known some to be overturned.

And yahoo is indeed closing accounts of those who abuse the abuse feature.

Yes it sure would, but to what end I don't know.

The F*ndies zapped yet another three benign questions of mine this morning and I appealed to guidelines 13 clause.

We'll see.

I really appealed my first one because i genuinely didnt deserve it,didnt do me any good though,

10 years of addresses and kept emails down the drain, really freaked me out that none of my old contacts would be able to find me or that i wouldnt be able to find them because my address book went too.

I've tried it and it was just a waste of my time. Maybe things have changed since then but they wouldn't even give me a reason for the violation - even after I e-mailed them.
