i had an ultrasound last week and it took the lady quite some time to figure out what hte baby was. then all of a sudden she just said w/o much energy-- "its a boy". looking at the screen, all i saw was 2 dots... now i have two other kids, a girl and a boy... and my son had a noticable penis and my daughter had just two dots. i "knew" what i was having with both of my previous kids and felt like i was having a girl this time and was really thrown off when she said it was a boy. so do u know the margin of error for ultrasounds to detect a baby's sex? also, this baby's heartbeat is slower like my daughter's was. its between 130 and 150 bpm... whereas my son's heartbeat was around 180. is that just a wive's tale or do you think its true that girls have lower heartbeat rates and boys highter

Heartbeat rate has no clinical basis at all...if your ultrasonongrapher saw obvious male parts then you are pretty accurate...but if she said female I would say there may be more of a margin of error.
