hi i'm looking for software that will allow me to run multiple operating systems on my computer. i've tried VMware but it's not what i'm looking for.i'm looking for something that gives me choices of all the operating systems on the boot screen, and then i get to choose which one i want and then i go. but then there is an issue with partitions. cause WIndows XP uses NTFS and the other linux OS may use Fat32. i don't know. so i guess this software would also have to partition my hard drive so i could allocate memory for only specific OS. can anyone give me more info on this kind of thing? would love any advice or info. it may be more simple than what i'm making it.

you just need as many partitions as you want OS's then just install

if u want 2 windows installs, install the oldest first, then the next oldest, then the next. get it?

you can have as many os's as you want. just partition it in a logical partition

Both Windows XP and Vista, and the versions of Linex include an OS switcher as part of their install. Install Windows first. When you install the second OS, Windows will detect it and activate a selection menu on bootup. This includes earlier versions of Windows as well as Linux.

The Windows install will also allow you to partition and format the drives needed (including some NTFS and some FAT32).

SO you should not need any other software then WIndows XP or Vista to do what you have listed.

You only need to create a partition for each operating system you wish to run an OS on. I use Digital Dolly 1.0. It is freeware that recognizes over one hundred formats.
