should be allowed to go into production it should undergo environmental analasyis to determine its future viability, environmental impact and its recycling capacity. It should be able to be made with no environmental consequences, 100% fully recyclable at the end of its life and totally environmentally benign throughout its life. In other words a fully compliant cradle to grave philosophy.

The planet cannot deal effectively with the polution and waste currently generated. What are your views?

A good question, sadly a short answer but good topic.

Most products invented and produced by the endeavour of man, is and has always deemed to have come from the very cradle of earthbound materials, these constituent materials have already come from the "grave to the cradle" This I see as pollution recycling throughout the world, only we tend to concentrate it in landfill sites, the separation of short term pollutants from longer, we are now paying attention to and not before time.
There are few things that should not be produced in this world that can't go back for recycling, and the majority of people upon this earth instinctively know these to be evil and I am not drawing on religion but the decency of man not to cross the line with Matters Nuclear, Germs, Viruses, etc.
In conclusion a percentage of purchase tax should be built into the sale of the product for its efficient breakdown and preparation to recycle, or alternatively let mother earth do it.
"Built-in Obsolescence" should be outlawed, throughout the world!

Recycling should not only be considered as an analytical factor for the environment.
There are other factors like
1.Environmental receptiveness to a particular product. For instance some products can be recycled all right but can cause long term havoc to the environment later.
Again weather climate in certain countries might or not permit certain products, appliance, chemical etc to be used.
2. There are some epidemic caused by the manufacturing of some products, appliances etc.For example there is a type of an energy plant that can cause children, adult etc to lose their sight, ear, part of their bodies, but this energy plant can in a way be recycled, so recycling should not be the end expected result to curb ozone depletion and other environmental issues.

3. There are some products that are the cause of the ozone layer depletion yet can be recycled.

Honestly recycling is the 'baby solution for environmental degradation, that is before recycling can come to mind other factors must have been considered first.

Before this issues can be controlled,i think government ,institutions and companies must be ethically oriented and socially responsible. thanks

Hi. That is a good ideal situation. Some things such as lubricants and most fuels would be hard to make 100% benign.
