I would like to apologize for the mean-spirited and belligerent response your question has received from people toward whom it was not directed. Apparently some aspect of a skeptical and logical mindset justifies acting like a jerk. For the record, I am not a Christian, but I do not think that being a Christian is sufficient cause for ridicule.

heavily, the element of your question is the rationalization why there are people who don't think in faith. this is merely countless tall thoughts, with actual no evidence or info. perchance there's a God, yet whilst it have been an all efficient God of love, for sure killing, greed and slavery does no longer be allowed in this international. working without end at meaningless jobs for no extra effective than chump substitute, at the same time as human beings make thousands and thousands of greenbacks in basic terms for being prevalent, or manipulative. waiting to die is not any thank you to stay, and regrettably, that's what Christianity is all approximately.

Not here but it was more the other way around. Former Christian and I'm now a much happier agnostic, non-religious being. I'm still agnostic because while you can't PROVE god, you can't disprove it either.

I do not know of any person, who was truly an atheist (without belief in the supernatural, and god/gods), to a christian.

I think that would be an impossibility. Maybe someone who is agnostic could convert, seeing that they were unsure to begin with.

Not me thanks. I will make my own mind up and not allow myself to be brainwashed as my step-mother tried to do for 10 years.
So far your religion is very low on my list, partly because of the poor example shown by many of your fellow Christians, and partly because your bible has been mis-translated over and over again and yet quoted as being the literal truth!

The usual process goes the other direction, from belief in the supernatural to the faith in reason and intellect.

Have you ever wondered if maybe, just maybe, compassion and reason might be enough? There is a contradiction free life, both moral and rewarding waiting for you in a skeptical and reasoned mindset.
