You may contact the Dealer/Distributor of this licensed copy of your Norton Antivirus. They may help you to fix the problem or refund the money. This happened with me with NAV-2005 licensed copy and the Vendor gave me a locally copied NAV Corporate edition (without any serial number) that worked for a few months.

I am now using new AVG 7.5 Free software downloaded from the following link: http://www.grisoft.com/

I found that this one is really quote: "Tough on Viruses, Easy on Users the new AVG 7.5 offers improved performance and easy-to-use interface." Un-quote.

As mentioned above, the NAV has disappointed me very much as my licensed copy was not functioning well and the solution that I got from its Dealer in Bangladesh was also not upto my satisfaction and a poor show for NAV D/Ds after-sale service.

Hope you get your problems solved with AVG and such free editions!

Have you went to the Knowledge Base? That would be a great start. It will probably be able to tell you what caused the problem and how to fix it. Or, you can try reinstalling Norton...that will probably fix it anyway.
