I am Roman Catholic. My faith is in God.

Teachers and parents fall into this crime far more than religious people do. Should we lose faith in our education system? Or lose faith in family ideals?

I love my church!

If our faith were in men then we would be the idolaters the Protestants accuse us of being. I am ashamed when people of my denomination say their faith was shaken or shattered by problems within. These are just men. Men stumble and fall. It should be expected.

I am glad that God has seen fit to clean house. I am sorry for all the innocent priests who are accused due to overzealousness.

In any situation, be it church, education, business, what ever - one should use discernment. One can't walk blindly into anywhere on this planet and assume the one they are talking to is just and upright.

I am blessed to have many good priests that I work closely with.

You know, not all of Catholicism is Roman. The Latin Rite is just one branch of many. There are 21 branches UNDER the Holy See. Many more outside of it.

And for the record - Protestants are having the same problem we are. It just doesn't make headlines.

I still have faith in God and the Catholic Church.

In every population of human beings are going to a few sick or evil people who commit horrible crimes, even in the Church.

These few terrible people do not negate the faith, hope and love of over one billion Catholics.

Remember that the Church is not the Church hierarchy or the priests. The Church is God and His relationship with over one billion living Catholics on Earth and God only knows how many in heaven, all of whom make up the Body of Christ.

Remember that political scandals in nations, even up to and including the highest leaders, like President Nixon and the Watergate scandal, do not make the nation as a whole wrong, immoral, or worthless. And the Catholic Church is so much holier and more important than any nation.

With love in Christ.

Bishops are human beings and sometimes need a kck to remind them that they are stewards of the Mysteries of God and are accountable to God for what they do or do not do to promote the true teachings and practices of the Church.
The bishops and clericrats need more "downward accountability' and I think the Pope needs to call more of them on the carpet.

The Gates of Hell will not prevail over the Catholic Church because Christ promised.

I can turn to my priest because he is a tried and faithful man of God.

I have faith in Christ and in His Catholic Faith and Church and not in the clergy per se.

You stated to proper you if you are unsuitable.... so I'll proper you If a man or woman dies at present & was once not ever a Jehovah's Witness, they WILL have a biblical desire of everlasting lifestyles in view that they're going to most of the time be resurrected & given the threat to position their lifestyles so as with Jehovah's specifications. You additionally stated " a man or woman who died in a further faith could have undoubtedly no desire. Correct?" No that's unsuitable. Many men and women from special religions will take delivery of the threat to comply to God's specifications. That could imply rejecting former fake worship. However, the ones alive at Armageddon who've now not transformed can be removed. Jehovah has continually had distinctive rights approximately the "admittance standards"... he is Almighty God. And why on this planet could he reject his possess specifications & permit fake worship in his paradise earth? I not ever deliver a 'canned reply'

Priests are just a tip of the iceberg.
I do not condone molesting any child from anybody.
There are bigger fish out there that rob our citizens everyday on TV by getting in their pockets.
They fly in 40 million dollar jets and live a lavish lifestyle.
They blow on your forehead and you are cured!
They love to pray on the seniors especially.
They hide under the cloak of minister...
Yes, I have lost some of my faith in the chruch, but I will press on.

Of course, where else should we place our faith but to the Church established by Christ that the Bible says is the "bulwark and ground of the truth" that will endure without apostasy for all times. To do otherwise is to accuse Jesus of being a liar and a false teacher.

In Christ

I certainly don't have faith in the catholic establishment. My ex-girlfriends parents had to pay lots of $$ so that the church would accept a lutheran groom... what!?

I think it is unfortunate where the money church goers is ultimately going, paying for the sins of the church leaders. I come from a family of Catholics, but I never adopted the religion myself. My parents converted to Chrisitanity and I was raised with Christian beliefs.
