i just potty trained my daughter. i found that by doing away with diapers and using panties with the vinyl pants over top did the trick. when i had tried before i would take her to the potty whether she went or not and then put her diaper back on. i guess she felt as long as she still had her diaper on she could just use it. also i made her go potty every 30 minutes. when i bought her little potty i thought that would encourage it, but it didn't. i bought one of those little seats that go on regular toilet and a little stool to step up and that made her feel like a big girl i guess. after about a week of wearing her panties all day and using the potty seat and stool, she was trained. we had a few accidents during that time but it was worth it. good luck to you!! the main thing is to be consistent with it and he will get it.

Take him with you to the bathroom when you go. Show him how "big boys potty" then let him sit on his own potty. Take him about once and hour to start whether he goes or not it gets him into the habit. Then take away diapers period and set him on the potty frequently. You will be cleaning up accidents, but if you ask me pull-ups are still diapers and they dont' feel any different on a baby than diapers do. They are just a ploy to make money off you. Get some good training pants and some patience cuz trust me you'll need it! Good Luck

By all way, take this acheivement on his side and RUN with it! there is also a few inital disorders as soon as the child comes, but when he is interested within the potty then embody this possibility to get one little one expert! I was once very lax with my oldest, letting him set the speed. he is now four and suffering to grasp the potty, in the meantime I've had two extra young children and spent a well element of my day exchanging no longer a million however three little butts.. simply don't forget, LOTS of rewards and compliment for a role good performed, and do not linger at the injuries. They will occur. Congratulations at the new child and having a little bit huge boy who's so self mindful! You must be proud!

Have a potty in reach, and get him to sit on it every now and then. and make it fun for him . don't pressure him at all. he'll get it to do it very soon . My son is three so I know.

Take him to the shops and let him choose his own potty and a couple of new pairs of undies... when he wets the undies don't change them straight away... he will soon learn how horrible it feels to be wet ; )
