Pretty is entirely conceptual. Beauty is an abstract thing that cannot be described in words. It means different things to different people. I, myself, find many very different things to be beautiful. I've found many girls to be pretty, even though they typically don't look remotely similar to one another.
*** In response to your addition: I can't. I've liked blondes, brunettes, red-heads, 5'7 girls, 5'8 girls, 5'9 girls, skinny girls, "chubby" girls, brown eyes, hazel eyes...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If someone calls you ugly, then they are insecure with themselves. Do not let what people say about you get you down. You are a beautiful person and you need to tell yourself that every day.

To be totally honest. No one is truely 100% ugly, unless they consider themselves to be. It's all about self-confidence and self-estem. If you want to be portray as hot or pretty, you have to start with your own introspective views first. So in that since, beauty is in the eye of oneself. But there is the sense of classic beauty, the tall, smiling, skinny, curved girl. So if you have any of those traits, so you could be considered as pretty.
