No, he plans to continue next year much as this year -- sharing the #01 with a rookie (not yet named, Smith will get his own full-time ride next year).

This is a dream situation for Mark. He races when he feels like it and can skip the tracks where he always gets wrecked (Talladega, for example). I think he'll keep it up as long as he's still competitive.

It cracks me up that Mark's "partial schedule" still involves more races than Jimmie Johnson, for example, will run. Busch races, Truck races, Daytona Prototype races! Mark Martin loves to race. He's not going to retire anytime soon.

And take note now, his son Matt will be in busch series and nascar within 4 years. And you know he's got a heck of a teacher.

Mark is going to retire very quickly, probably after the 2011 season. Gordon says he could prefer to race "as long as a possibility" so his youngsters can savor his fulfillment. He assured a minimum of 5 extra years, and likely extra advantageous than that. He pronounced he nonetheless has the middle to race for an prolonged time yet. i'm getting so sick and uninterested in folk insisting that he's going to retire interior 5 years. that's incorrect. in case you pay any interest to Jeff Gordon, or his step-father, John Bickford, they the two say a minimum of 5-6 extra years, and Jeff says he desires to race..QUOTE "as long as a possibility" by fact he loves it. He has a life-time handle Hendrick Motorsports, too.

I'm hearing he will run a partial schedule at Ginn next year splitting the cup schedule with Aric Amorila. I'm not so good with the spelling on that name but you get the drift.
