Most uneducated Americans (ie. majority of Americans) blame their own personal woes as well as those of their country's on illegal immigrants. They couldn't be any wronger.

Illegal immigrants actually help keep their lives relatively better. They help the American economy stay vibrant and active.

Without the cheap labor of illegal immigrants, many major companies would relocate to Asia, which would result in a total loss of jobs for America - even those jobs that would normally go to the higher skilled Americans.

Illegal immigrants keep American business competitive and operational. Illegal immigrants don't sue their employers for millions of dollars because they were "discriminated" against, or because they got a paper cut on their pinky finger. They don't file for unemployment or form unions demanding more money. They don't call in sick and expect pay or burden the group health insurance plan with their obesity.

It's your fellow Americans you need to be concerned about.

Epiphany as described in Merriam-Webster

1 capitalized : January 6 observed as a church festival in commemoration of the coming of the Magi as the first manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles or in the Eastern Church in commemoration of the baptism of Christ
2 : an appearance or manifestation especially of a divine being
3 a (1) : a usually sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (2) : an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking (3) : an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure b : a revealing scene or moment

1. This is not Jan 6
2. I do not see any devine beings
3. Maybe an intuitive grasp of reality, but in your case I would define it as a LACK of grasp on reality.

Most Amercians are in fact educated, our education system has some issues but its nothing we can't fix if people would concentrate on it..... By the way wronger is not a word, try "They could not be more wrong"

Illegal immigrants make the lives of the countries elite better, the economy is not dependant upon illegal immigrants, just the huge profits of certain corporations and companies.

I personally will take my chance on a company moving to Asia, its cheaper in the long run for taxpayers - those nifty little benefits that the middle class pays for that cheap labor is really adding up, especially that much maligned education you love to point out. My opinion is that the companies that were going to jump ship and head to other nations already have.

I am sure illegal immigrants keep American businesses competitive but have you not noticed that the savings has not passed to the consumer? For example the housing market, illegal immigrants have flooded the construction market yet housing is at record highs.... Hmmm well at least a contractor is getting his $$

Nite scope is right (to a point) American people think they have gotten smarter because they are hearing so much propaganda and media hype that they truely do not know the facts. A mob is a mob is a mob, no matter if it is just or not. People, in general, will always side with a majority before they will get all the facts. It is human nature. If a 100 people say that the majority of paper made in the US is pink and not white and 50 people say that it is white then the 10 sitting on the fence are going to side with a larger group when the facts were not presented, but the 50 that said white have proof so those 10 and some of the hundred will later drift to the minority. Gossip and sensationalism has turned political understanding into a media teetertotter. One day they say the war in iraq is good for our nation and now 3 yrs down the road and no progress the media is eating it up and those that were all gun ho are now wanting to stop it.
Knowledge is power especially when you have the facts. Great comment/question - I even starred it.

That is a ridiculous statement. The facts backing up the terrible things the illegal immigrants have brought with them into this country are astronomical!!!!!!!!!
If you just Google illegal immigration, you will educate yourself in seeing the truth behind what they are doing here.

I'm neutral as far as the immigration thing is concerned, but I just wanted to respond after reading Rabid Frog's insane answer.

First, according to your own posted definitions of "epiphany," number 3 is obviously the one applicable in this case, so the rest of your comments regarding the choice of words by the original poster are laughable.

Second, "wronger" is a word, though not one many people use, nonetheless, it's a word.

And lastly, why would you rather see a company move to Asia than to see it here in America, even if it does hire illegal immigrants?

Overall, you comment defies all logic.

That was an epiphany, why do I feel so let down?

Actually T O N I she is right, it is very expensive to move a company overseas and most US companies are not going to do it, its just a nice little threat large corporations like to use to keep you from pulling cheap labor from their payrolls, the cure for companies moving overseas is to put a nice little tax on those imports, if it sounds familiar its what we did before NAFTA...

I guess an epiphany must be a personal thing. Not everyone is going to share your revelation as gospel.
