I am pretty close to the religion I was in as a child. However, I explored atheism, agnosticism, gnosticism ,paganism and a few other things. Go look through your qquestions that brought you to this belief test and check it out . There are several books that might help"God: a debate between an atheist and a Christian. "It is basically the written form of 3 debates they had. Also 2 books by Lee strobel "the case for Christ and the Case for God" Both written by a person who was originally an atheist. There are youth versions of both of the last 2 books.

When I was your age my I didn't have religion, a couple of years later when my parents divorced my mom would drop my sister, brother and I off for Sunday School and church then she would leave. I can't tell you what the services were like, I didn't listen. I didn't want to listen.
I was 25 when I had my first child, 31 when I had my second. I knew after my first that I wanted to go to church but there was a desire to have more than just a religion, I didn't know what it was at the time but I do now.
It was my desire to reconnect with the one who knew me before I was born.
It took me about five more years after the birth of my second daughter to find a place for that to take place. Now it was not untill my Husband walked out on us that I was finally able to see through my mothers eyes. She knew more than I ever gave her credit for. Sadly it took walking in her shoes for me to come to that knowledge.
For you dear child, keep asking your questions for with every question God has an answer. Don't worry, you are young and still have so many wonderful things ahead of you. Keep and open mind and follow your heart, after all when God created you he imparted with you his Holy Spirit whether you believe in him or not he believes in you.
I am very happy to say that today I do not follow a religion - that is man made, what I follow to day is the teaching of the Lord Jesus. Its is spirit filled and spirit led.
Love your mom and give her a smidge of credit for getting you this far. :o) God Bless

Yes, I'm still agnostic, or perhaps agnostic again would be more accurate.

It may well be that your atheism is teenage rebellion. You must ask yourself how you came to that particular belief. Was it the result of research and study? Have you done considerable reading on the subject? Are you responding to people around you, your friends and such, who claim to be atheists? How have they arrived at this conclusion?

It takes a bit of thinking to plump for one side or another on the atheist/theist debate, and while everyone is entitled to an opinion, there is a responsibility to make that opinion the result of thought, rather than rebellion or peer pressure.

The Bible says:" Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need"... and I always have been. There has never been any question in my mind about the existence of God. My questions came about because of what I saw in the churches. Even at 14.

It's been 40 years since that now, and I left christendom behind over 10 years ago, and am now one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

So, no, I am not the same. Now I'm in the truth.

i wouldnt care in any respect until they have been some form of non secular nut that throughout the time of basic terms spoke of jesus all of the time. the toddlers would be raised with cultural factors from the two one in each of our religions, they are going to have a bris and a baptism, a bar mitzvah, they are going to rejoice Channukah and yuletide, and that they are going to learn different theories and religions and all approximately technology, and that they are in a position to make an stated decision for themselves. BQ: i'm Jewish, even however this is extra cultural than religious BBQ: i've got dated catholics, muslims, hindus, lutherans, methodists, buddhists, atheists, and mormons. i married a Catholic. BBBQ: 18.

No. I was a Catholic until I was 17. Then I left that church and walked around angry and "agnostic" for almost 30 years. Now I am a Religious Scientist - and things seem to make sense to me.

I am wondering what religion you were before you became an atheist - and if it was forced on you. That can be a huge turn off. You have to choose your own Spiritual path. One that fits you. Of course - right now - you are choosing none - and that's fine too.

Also - just FYI - in my opinion - atheism is NOT a religion. Religion is just a tool that people use to get closer to God (and I believe that God is LOVE). Atheists don't believe in God (LOVE) - so there is no religion there.

Yes, christian at 14 and now still christian.

Consider this, its easy to be an atheist when you are succesful, wealthy, and happy because you don't need an entity to help you, you have all you want.
But its hard to be an atheist when your facing death due to accident or sickness, and prayer is the only thing that can get you back.

If you have some time watch this, its not preaching or any other crap like that. Its all about atheists that came back from clinical death.

I am not
I was christened as a Catholic when I was a baby and was exposed to the catholic service, classes, etc until I was 12. At 12 I made the decision to separate from the church because I found it all boring. At 14 I was not acknowledging any religion, but still felt that I was catholic.
Now, many years later, and many religions later, I am an atheist - and unlikely to change.

No, I'm not. As a teen I was much more ignorant than I am now.

I would encourage you to THINK above all else. See things objectively, use your mind. If you do this, you will continue to see how much of a game the religious structure actually is. Religion is about emotional experiences and desperately hoping that god is real.
