After last years terror plot with small liquid explosive. They put a ban on bringing on any liquids that is in excess of 3 oz. I'm going away to see my family, & i wanted to bring some cologne of mine. Can because it's bigger than 3 oz. could i still check it & put it in my "non-carry on"?

Yes, but check with the airline. I went on vacation spring break, and packed liquids over 3oz. Although they had to be in a bagagge, the airline was going to tag and put underneath the plane. I flew airtran Airways.

Put it in your checked luggage. Luggage compartments are pressurized today and no danger of leaking.
Place the bottle in a sealed baggy if you like.

yes...you can put any liquid in ur non carry on bag

Dont risk it, bring it on to your "non carry on"! It's not worth the chance of being arrested.
