cymbalta has helped a great many people, and there are several other antidepressants out there that help...but, the meds alone are not going to effect a lasting change in your mood. What they do is clear your thinking, stop the sprial pattern of thinking that prevents you from getting past the depression. But, unless you combine the use of the meds with therapy, there is no change in the root cause of the depressive disorder, the way you think. So, when you see your doctor for medication, ask him also to refer you to a mental health professional for therapy.

OMG-------------BE CAREFUL i have been on several different meds and the LAST was Cymbalta, it was great at first then i spiraled down hill, i had to go into rehab and take 8 weeks off work to come off that horrible stuff.....it had horrible side affects, one day i passed out at work, i would be shopping then all of the sudden not know where i was or what i was doing! please do research! i laugh at those comercials because ALL of those side affects that they quietly list at the end of the commercial are for REAL!! I am now drug free!! and dealing with my depression without meds even if you need meds there are others that are not as harmful as Cymbalta!

yes..it made me very sick and naseous just like all the other medications. it made me dizzy and headaches. I could not think straight and it just f-ed me up

It made me crazy. I was acting like a crack addict one time screaming on the floor and I couldn't even see straight. It sounds embarassing I know but it was like I couldn't control myself and was feeling so weird. I am embarrassed to this day for having my parents have to deal with me screaming like a little baby because the depression drugs were making me that way.

you're doing drugs basically..its gonna mess with your mind and not in a good way. I would advise to stay away from the meds unless you are absolutely sure you want to risk all that. you never know what it will do to you so its best to just avoid them. trust me!
