Ive been dating this great guy for nearly 2months and today Ive told him I wont be able to see him for 3weeks due to work and a 2week holiday. He sent me a txt message saying I should do my best and quote 'Maybe I'll speak to you after, Take care x'. So what does this mean is it over because I'll be gone for 3weeks or am I overreacting?

Maybe he never thought you guys were as serious as you did. Or maybe he just wants you to get with him when you come back. 2 months doesn't necessarily mean commitment. If you are that confused, ask him where he thinks you guys are headed.

you shoulk talk to him and tell him that you don't want to end it just because you won't be able to see him for a little while. 3 weeks isn't that long anyway, i've been in a long distance relationship where i only saw my boyfriend every 4 -5 weeks ! and that was all the time. this is just once that you won't be around for 3 weeks. if you still keep in contact with him while you're away, and tell him now that you like how things are going and that you want to see him still, then he'll know that you're not planning on seeing anyone else while you're away.
he might not have meant it how you thought even when he said 'maybe' i'll speak to you after, so you should talk to him :)

he is probaly a little bitter that you are going away, so his responce is to make you feel pooh about going, maybe he's a little insecure but it has only been 2months. maybe if you promice to buy him a stick of rock he'll be ok.
i would suggest that you'll have to let him get over it, otherwise it'll lead to all kind of issues down the line if you react to him being like that, The 'maybe' in his txt was just him trying to be blarsay (?). im sure he'll tell you he is going out somewhere soon to even the balance.

Sounds like he's trying to call your bluff, like you are slowly trying to dump him without coming straight out with it and he's going to act like it's all cool and won't really affect him, but bet he'll be happy to see you when you get back, but do keep in touch over the 3 weeks!

hes probably thinking he doesnt wanna sound clingy or needy. mb he thinks it a brush-off from ya and doesnt wanna embarras himself by makn a big deal about it.
if he didnt no about it b4 hand (which he should have done) than he may be annoyed that ur just deciding to not see him so wanted to make it sound like he wasnt bothered, the way u sound like ur not bothered.

well what do you expect...? you can't expect someone to wait around for five weeks...i mean what is a man to do.on the other hand, he's not going to admit that he'll wait for me, he may think he's being sad. jus drop him a txt when you are eventually free and see what happens...good luck
