I am getting a little sick of doing all the work to get a girl. I would like to be pursued for once. Why is it so hard for a woman to pursue a man? To let him know she's got her eye on him? Granted we are in the animal kingdom and like most animals we do "mating rituals" to attract females; i.e. flirt with them, compliments, act like fools to impress, etc. Anyone?

Because there will always be "that guy" that messes it up for other men by freaking out and withdrawing from aggressive women, thereby making the women feel bad about going for it.

Then the women think all men are like this and decide to be passive. Guys, don't be "that guy".

Well, I personally like the romanticness of a guy after you. Most women are like that :)

But a lot of women pursue too. It's just a matter of their self-confidence and whether they care about who asks who first.

Agreed man. I've been asking this for years. It'd be nice for once to have one go after me, because then i really know they are interested and not just along for the ride or using you as a "temp" in between real boyfriends.

Oh and to Sandicheeks up there, hell no it doesn't! When and where baby, when and where lol

I'm a rather aggressive individual whether it comes to relationships or not. I don't have a problem pursuing... but the men that I've pursued don't seem to like that.

I hate dating...

Normally I'm way more pursuer that pursued, I always have to work my way up there so that the guy notices me and likes me. It's not that easy though...

You say you want this to happen, but you only want the fantasy. Meaning you want some hot blonde or some hot brunette (or whichever type turns you on) to come up to you. What would you do if a girl came up to you who you didnt like what so ever? I mean this is what we girls experience...
I'm from Australia and I think Australian guys are the laziest most disinterested men in the world when it comes to 'picking up'. Or maybe the women's revolution just completely emasculated them. Because I was one of those women who would ask the guy out and make the first move, but the majority of the time I think I just scared these guys!
I think guys like you just say that, but if it really happened it would just freak you out or make you feel threatened or wierd like you would have prefered to have had the choice of making the first move. I think guys like flirty girls and girls who respond eagerly to their attentions, but in general I think guys prefer to make the first move.
Put it this way... in regards to sex.... the girl who makes the first move here.... you immediately think (fling, one night, tramp but I'm going for it). But with regards to the guy who has to make the first move on the girl you are thinking... (girlfriend material?)

You guys say alot, but I think we girls know the score. You want to have sex with a sexy woman, who is dirty and flirty and maybe a bit trampy.. but you want a girlfriend you can put on a pedestal.

I can't speak for all women, but I was raised to believe that a girl should never ask a guy out. Thank goodness my husband didn't mind!
