The words Fair, Balanced and News should never be in the same sentence.

The news media isn't altruistic; it's a business, first and foremost. If it bleeds, it leads, whether at Fox or CNN. There is bias in every newsroom, and if not there certainly in the hands that write the paychecks.

No single news media outlet can possibly give us the complete truth. They all have time constraints (time is money!), and make mistakes -- as in running with a story based on an inaccurate source.

Broadcast news programs are essentially entertainment. If more folks would keep that little grain of salt in mind, instead of being spoon-fed the sound bites and video clips and considering themselves well-informed as a result, we'd all be a lot more fair and balanced.

Kinda funny that you are talking about fair and balanced, but only want Christians to reply. Most news is just entertainment anymore. I haven't watched other channels for some time, but Fox does often try to get people on two different sides to give their opinion and views. This at least lets someone see and decide for themselves. Everyone must realize that one side or the other is not necessarily right. I do find that it seems liberals are extremely hateful towards Fox, and that is good enough reason for someone who would like to conserve the country as it was to watch it!

No, but I don't think CNN is fair and balanced either. Both are marketing to different slants or biases. The only news I really trust to be less biased is NPR and PBS' News Hour with Jim Lehr.

More fair than some.

Once they had a 'Georges Sada' interview. He used to be Attorney General to Saddam Hussein. He wrote the book 'Saddam's Secrets'. Was witness of WMDs. That there were these weapons. You aren't going to hear that in a different TV station.

He had came to my church at http://www.riveroflifefellowship.org . and he reveals Saddams plans to destroy Israel, hide WMDs & control the arab world. Also witness to the WMD that left Iraq around when we went in. Also told us at our church (not on the Fox interview) that Terry Law had a petition (signed in US, Canada, UK to sign documents urging the leaders of Iraq to guarantee the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights' in Iraqi constitution.) See? I was praying for this & never saw it in the 1st constitutional drafts s reported in the news. But after Terry Law presented this to the Iraqi President. Apparently this had great impact because 2 mo. later the final document was ratified by the people the verbiage declared that the constitution of Iraq would honor all human rights agreements signed by previous Iraqi governements. Iraq was an original signatory to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

I believe this is 'only fair' of Fox News, to have Georges Sada interview on the topic of WMD.

Though I would also love if the topic of religious freedom in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights being in the Iraqi Constitution would also be put on Fox News. That it is unconstitutional to kill someone for their faith in Iraq today. I know Christians are still persecuted there, but it is unconstitutional & unlawful to do this. See? This is a big victory. Because under Islamic law, there is given 3 chances to repent of leaving Islam. And if Christian doesn't deny Christ, that person gets the death sentence legally. Now, under UDHR, you can't kill someone for their faith.

Some is and some definitely is told with a slant toward the right.

However, no worse than other "news" has a slant toward the left.

It is common for us to watch what be believe and then proclaim others as "Biased". Both sides do this. We are supposed to be smart enough to see that.

Peace!

I caught my 78 year old father watching Fox News. I had to watch him closely for a few days to make sure he is not getting senile. He isn't. I suppose he got curious about the channel, a group of Christians told him about it.

As a christian, I would say that fox news is the only fair and balanced news network. Those other networks only play that evil liberal agenda crap and never tell me what I want to hear!
