Life truly is as round as the earth. Everthing comes back to the one that sends it out. It helps us to remember to send out good so good returns. It also helps me to remember that as quickly as I came I will leave

My heart says that when somebody hurts me or treats me badly, then someday the situation will be reversed, and they will be on the receiving end of the same pain or unpleasantness. In short, karma. But that doesn't necessarily mean I want it to work that way.

I've been hurt so many times, but I still don't necessarily want that to happen to other people.

Well I'm guessing you mean heart in the figurative sense so I interpret that as karma. So be nice or it'll bite you on the tush.

No different than "you reap what you sow", which I agree is true sometimes. But other times it's not true at all. You can sow the seeds of love and peace, but some jackass can still explode a bomb on you while you're shopping.

It's about sowing seeds. God does payback sometimes, just to knock people off their high horses. Ex. A bully at school will be bullied. A hotshot ball player will fall flat on his face.
It's to make sure we don't get too cocky.

As a heathen, I believe in the principle of orlog---that our actions shape not only our future, but our world. (it's complicated, so I won't go into volumes of detail here)

Basically, not only is what goes around---things we do---likely to come around---things done to us---but our lives, in general, are either improved through right actions or damaged through poorly chosen ones, beyond the natural consequences of the actions themselves.

You 'reap what you sow.'

Is it true? I don't know. I often wish it on others. There was a dog fighting ring recently arrested. If there is karma they should suffer greatly. The law will not punish them adequately enough for me.

Oh ye of little faith! Karma is no joke....& in my experience, bad Karma reciprocates very swift & very severe! Heart has everything to do with it, not the heart muscle literally!

Wishful thinking for some sort on universal justice.

There is some truth about the value of ones reputation hidden in this, however.
