I'm looking for advice on how one should approach a potential employer while considering a career change while attending a career fair/job fair.

Just walk up and talk to them. Be confident in yourself. They are at the fair to find good people.

unusual that a scientific degree could waste away in a report cabinet - i wish your scientific skills would be marketable if/while string is not a achieveable determination. I believe the money remark - scope out the contest -get a gimmick and in line with danger an agent in case you are going to pursue stripping extreme - Las Vegas - or the Moulin Rouge in France.
