if so, what other foods have negative calories?

It's really not enough to worry about. The theory is it takes more energy to chew it up and digest it than you gain from the celery. Watercress, lettuce, parsley, even a lot of herbs, would fit into this category.
The good part is it makes you feel full and you don't feel the need to have that giant bowl of ice cream.

There's no such thing as a "negative calorie". Celery has calories, period, but only a few. And the energy needed to digest the cellulose in celery is more than the energy provided by the celery, so there's a net loss. Think of it as eating 10 calories, but using 15 to digest it. (And those numbers are made up, by the way).

But before you rush out and buy 50 lbs of celery, and eat only that for the next week, try to remember that nutrition is kinda important to you, and you'll need a little more variety than just celery if you want to be healthy.

No, although some people belive that it takes more calories to digest, that dosen't make it 'negative'. All food burns calories to digest, its just that celery is very low in calories, so the calories you burn digesting it burns off what you ate plus some, but would really just be burning off the other food you already ate. Every food has calories, weather it be a trace amount or not, don't fall into the mind set that you can lose weight just eating these "negative" calorie foods.

Celery does not have negative calories. Anything you eat has calories, nothing can have negative calories.

It is said to have negative calories because you burn more calories eating celery than the celery actually has.

See here for caloric count: http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/item.php?item_id=11143&size=4

Other food with very low calories are most green vegetables, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, etc...

Myth.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

By negative calories, do you mean you burn more calories eating it, than it has in the celery? I think I've heard that somewhere. Good luck. 2D

There is a myth that it requires more energy to eat and digest celery than celery has in it.

It really is not worth the bother.

when i was on a strict diet during pregnancy (too much weight gain toward the end) they told me I couldn't eat celery at all! It has a lot of salt...all you have to do is chew it and taste it to know that, it is very salty.

Ditto what Gary H. said. FYI: you also burn more calories eating and digesting hard boiled egg whites than the whites have calories.
