I plan on asking my crush out. The only thing is that last week I found out that he has a 6 year old daughter. I'm completely fine with that. I met her on Saturday and she is a gorgeous and very sweet little girl. She's in town visiting her father for the next 3 weeks, so more than likely he will have to bring her on our date/get-together. Can someone help me with some ideas as to what the 3 of us can do if the little girl has to come? The most obvious choice would be the park, but I want to do something a little more fun.

His daughter is 6. I don't want to hog the little bit of time he has to spend with her, hence the reason I'm trying to get ideas that the 3 of us can do together.

I would not include the daughter.....if this doesn't work out it will only confuse her.
If you live in or near a major city.....go downtown and walk around....go to museums, attractions etc.
It will give you time to talk and get to know each other better.

There are so many fun things the three of you could do! What do you know about this little girl that could help you decide? If she likes horses, maybe you could go riding. If she loves animals, the Folsom petting zoo would be fun. And if you don't know that much about her likes and dislikes at this point, how about pizza and a movie? What about an afternoon at the waterpark? The Exploratorium in San Francisco is great for all ages, too - very hands-on. Whatever you do, make sure you spend the day getting to know her, not just your crush. There's no more endearing way to get to the heart of a parent than to love and really like their child.

Yea...the park is totally obvious...so, if the weather's great where you're at, how about going to a water park or to a public pool or beach in your area with some picnic food and a few buckets and shovels to make sand castles if you decide to go to the beach...it's something ALL of you will enjoy. Fun in the sun never plays out!!! If the weather's not so great, maybe an arcade Like Dave & Buster's with games for adults and children would be cool too. I think she'd love it cause she's at that age where all she really wants to do is have fun...regardless of what it is, just as long as it's fun to her. I think you guys would also enjoy yourselves and your date would be highly impressed and appreciative of your consideration of his daughter's presence. Good Luck and Have FUN FUN FUN!!!

If you can accept the kid and enjoy time with both of them. Then that will speak volumes to him. Just be careful, relationships that start with "baggage" like that can lead to a lot of hurt, especially if you and her get attached but you and him have a falling out. Make sure you know what you are getting into.
As for a first date. Do something she'd want to do, within reason of course. Not a movie, movies on a first date for any type of relationship is a bad idea, you can't talk to the person to get to know them. Pizza and bowling sounds like a good idea.

Bad idea.
First dates are for the couple to determine if they are well suited to each other in a romantic context.
The way you are talking, you have already decided that you're the one and that this is a new instant family, so then it would not really be a first date would it?
Can't think of anything more irresponsible than a parent exposing a child to a relationship before it has distinguished itself as solid and committed.
Good luck.

Go on a picnic to the park. A concert in the park might be a good way. You didn't say how old she is. Try and make it something that is fun for all three of you.

Go to a family-style restaurant, and a movie appropriate for all ages...
Miniature golf, and a pizza place with games
A picnic/boating/the beach/camping/barbecue
Swimming, then a meal
It's important to keep the child happy and busy with activities of interest to her--children become bored very easily.

go bowling, of course! it's a fun way to spend time with your crush, and his sweet little daughter. While you're there, challenge him to a game. Whoever loses, buys ice cream for the little girl [or you, if you want]!
have fun :]

6 year old kids love everything, as long is it is attention getting. I would suggest something she has'nt done before, this will surprise your date. What did you like to do when you were six? I think it would help if we all take a look back and see what made us happy as kids.
