I made a Ramen noodle salad (with cabbage, dressing, chopped veggies) and after a few minutes of eating it, my tummy was aching really bad and hurt all night long. The last time I ate Ramen noodles (4 years ago) my tummy hurt like that too.
Is it the MSG possibly? (I do love Chinese food and don't have a problem with that)
Just wondering if others have had a similar reaction to Ramen noodles.

People have allergies to many different compounds in ramen. I have an allergy to raw sesame seeds for instance, which is used in some dressings in chinese cooking. Sesame seeds on a sesame seed bun doesn't harm me.
If this was just a one-time incident for you, you might consider that this was a case of food poisoning; the food you ate may have simply been bad.
If this happens often, you'll need to experiment to see exactly what ingredient(s) causes the problem. Be sure to ask exactly what's in the preparation you are eating.

Ramen noodles are fried before they go into the package (hence the super-high fat count). It could be possible that you are having a bad reaction to the type of oil used to cood the noodles. Ramen noodles also have a distubingly high amount of MSG in them. Usual side-effects from eating too much MSG are headaches, swelling of the tongue, and a "dried-out" feeling.
Ramen and all the other ingredients you list are high on the gas-producing factor. Try taking a Gas-X before you eat that dish again.
It could also be conditioning. In certain instances, you can be conditioned for a certain reaction based on a single prior experience. Usually this is good, such as stoves are hot, don't put your finger in an electrical socket, etc. Sometimes, especially with foods, this can happen and ruin an otherwise normal experience.

You'll lose weight only eating them yes, BUT the loss will only be temporary! As soon as you start eating normally again the weight will come back as it will likely only be water that you lost, not actual fat. Ramen noodles are FULL of sodium (it's where the flavor comes from!), so will make you retain water. You will be very bloated when you stop eating - the opposite effect. AND the noodles are fried - check out the fat content on a package - it's crazy!! Do NOT waste your time & jeopardize your health by attempting to lose weight this way. Eat a healthy, varied diet & get moving - it's the ONLY way to permanently lose weight!!

Just about everything in them can make you feel ill. Way too much sodium etc.
Just use spelt noodles if you are eating with your mom or whole grain ones in the health food section of your store.
Those Ramen packages always look so tempting- but I am always wary of anything with an ingredients list so long.
mix up your own concoction of herbs etc- start with sesame seed, minced dry onion- any Mrs, Dash mix- my favorite is Tomato Basil garlic.

I know exactly what is happening.
You just need to adjust to this kind of food.
I have been eating ramen for years and I am fine, but when I go to a Japanese steakhouse, my stomach starts hurting.
It's because I haven't adjusted to any Japanese food, other than ramen.
Same is happening to you, but the other way around.
I hope this helped.

GLUTEN?
Interesting problem, but no fun.
They are wheat noodle, only MSG in them is usually in the sauce. MSG also has Gluten.
