I mean for those who do not know of a source, the people who just fly off the handle which comes from irritation/annoyance and impatience.

Its a battle, huge struggle, count till 10,take a deep breath, try 2 get out from that place, dont talk 2 that person for a while, till you cool down.Try yoga, listen to your favourite songs, have a nice meal, then try to think about the whole situation without being judgemental or emotional being more practical.

I started meditating in 1999 and slowly obtained a mental discipline and then I worked on my attitude. Because every little thing that goes wrong is not a justification for having a fit. And finally, I got some real problems and it put the little ones in perspective. So who cares if the car won't start and the cats have turned their water over and tracked it all over the place? The little things take care of themselves. And so do the big ones.

Honey, right now, my anger is born from stress. I've been working six out of 7 days for the last three months at two different jobs, we're in the middle of an extreme heat wave and I have no air conditioning and can't buy any because I live with my grandmother and she keeps freaking out at the cost of the energy to use it, I'm absolutely exhausted because its so hot I can't sleep properly at night, and I'm making stupid mistakes at work when I should know better. I desperately need one day off where it isn't 35 degrees outside like it has been for the last two weeks (idiots who say there's no global warming don't know what they're talking about).
My anger IS short term.
If you want to let go of your long term anger then you need to learn to let the past be in the past and stay there. The past is gone, you are now in the present.

I see hat it does to others lives how it hurts and breaks the heart words cut deep the angry words are not always meant but once they are said it sometimes cant be changed and stays in our minds for many years.learn to ask god to help you to change and say to self I got to do better I dont want to be treated with anger by others so start a progam with some friends eveery time you control anger thats a plus so after it is much better start treating your self to dinner out.it is hard to overcome more for some. I was raised around fussing and etc so in time I start being the oppisite. we can be around someone that brings it out in us which isnt healthy. so try to be around more mellow frriends too. hope this helps.

I get angry still. Overall I think I am a pretty calm guy, but anger is natural and even beneficial at time.s. Without Anger, people wouldn't have boundaries.
Getting rid of all anger would be a bad thing.

I have a very bad temper just like my Mom did. We boarded with her sister and brother-in-law. Everytime my Uncle and I would have an arguement I would try and walk away but he would follow me and try and continue the argument. I knew I was getting to the point where I was about ready to hit him so I learned to just go outside and walk around the block until both of us could talk things out. It worked everytime.

Forgiveness
Jewish law emphatically holds that we should be generous and forthcoming in forgiving those who have transgressed against us, and that following forgiveness we should put the entire matter behind us. For example, the Torah tells us, "Don't take vengeance and don't bear a grudge" (Leviticus 19:18).

People can pray about that and seek some help through the Lord. It works. The best example of keeping your cool was Jesus. So if you think more Christ-like, you'll walk that way too.

I have a lot of problems. Fortunately, anger control is NOT one of them.
I don't know, maybe it is better to get it out rather than hold it in like I do.
