The Bible states that there is a difference between those who are Christians and are sinning and those who are not Christians. Are you and your cousin both Christians? You have an obligation to show him scriptures that show what he is doing is sinful and needs repented of. If you are a Christian, then you need to make sure that you do not show approval of sin by spending time with someone who is a Christian who is willfully living a sinful life. If Kevin is not a Christian, then you should still try and reach out to him. It is absolutely no different than if he were to leave his wife for another woman--sin IS sin. Unfortunately almost all of fornication is acceptable in society today, but that is not what will judge us--it is the word of God. Perhaps a nice letter stating your love and concern for your cousin would be the best way to approach it. He would surely appreciate the honesty. He knows what he is doing is wrong, sometimes if someone reaches out, it will help them repent. Christians are to go into all the world and teach them what the word of God says. If we only go to those that we don't find too sinful, we have missed the point. There is no kingdom of paradise on earth, and there never will be. It is appointed for man once to die, and then the judgement. When Jesus returns the earth and all the elements will be burned up. Only souls will be left, not any physical things. Someone has mislead you.

I am most certainly glad that you a not a member of my family and I have a lot of sympathy for your cousin. You certainly managed to phrase a question and make sure that every bit of your disgust and hatred towards homosexuals was clearly evident.
First of all, please read the book of Leviticus a bit more carefully and not just cherry pick all of the "sins" that were listed there. Aside from man laying with a man as he would lay with a woman (which any gay man will tell you is physically impossible to do since they are not anatomically the same), the laws also ban eating unclean animals (had a ham sandwich lately), and wearing a garment made from more than one fiber. All of these were considered sins and given equal weight in severity.
Science has been proving that a person's sexuality (either hetero, homo or bisexual) is not a mater of choice, but a matter of an individual's inate biology. We have learned that rather than being "unnatural" that many higher-intelligent species ingage in some manner of homosexual behavior (bonobos, dolphins, higher primates, birds, most herd mammals, etc).
I am quite sure that there is nothing that I can say to you that will change your opinion on this subject, but just remember that you are not without sin yourself. And frankly, if it's people like you who will enter Heaven (or whatever the afterlife is), then I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck for all eternity with a hateful person such as yourself.
Just remember, than in the bible (old and new testiments) there are about three passages regarding homosexual acts, and hundreds about heterosexual acts. Perhaps that means that God still loves heterosexuals, but maybe he thinks they need more supervision.

No, I'm not homophobic, ...but it sounds like you are. (unless you are joking of course!)
There's a really good book on the brain and how it develops en vitro. The book is called "Brain Sex". It isn't about homosexuals per se, nor is it really about sex. Rather, it is about the similarities and differences between men and women. It promotes understand between the sexes and is very helpful to heterosexual couples.
Buy a copy and read it next time you feel like getting a little non-fiction in your intellectual diet. You will discover the real reason why some people are homosexual. Then you won't have to fear them or condemn them to eternal torment at the judgment of an insane fictional deity.
Sexuality isn't a "choice.' It definitely isn't a sin. It just is, that's all.

Your right,
its not a genetic,
but your also wrong
Its not a choice either,
Its both, and it depends on the individual involved on both sides,
for some, it is a choice for what ever reason,
for others, they have been that way all their lives, and not understood why,
and the only freaks I can think of are the ones that claim they dont have sex, that would go against the genetic programing of the species, as we all have a programed chemical response to people we are attracted to,

Being judgemental and spiteful is also a bloody sin. So how do you justify this?
I'm a Christian, and I am not homophobic. It is none of my business what Adam and Steve do. We are ALL sinners. None of us are perfect. Your judgemental rant is evidence of this. In any case, I don't believe in a crazy, arbitrary God anyway. The vast majority of geneticists all over the world are in agreement that homosexuality is genetic and in the DNA of the people who feel that way. If God made gay people, then who are we to judge them or attack them? Maybe you need to spend a little more time reading your Gospel, and a little less time cherry-picking Hebrew law. Jesus is clear as day: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. LOVE YOU ENEMIES. HELP THOSE IN NEED. With all the people bashing them all the time, I have to suspect that your cousin could use some of Christ's love, not the devil's hatred.

Q. -- "Are you homophobic?"
A. -- Nope. I'm an INTELLIGENT person. Unlike the minority of the population that is mindless and DOLTISH enough to be hatefully bigoted against a **harmless variation** of NORMALCY. Which is all that sexual orientation is.
Just as 10% of the population is born left-handed, 5% of it is born homosexual. It is NO big deal!
It takes BONE-IGNORANCE for ANY person to run around **whining** about people who have sex in private, just like everyone else, merely because they happen to selsect their partners differently. That is as utterly STUPID as it would be to whine about people being right-handed, or Caucasian, or having hazel eyes. MINDLESS.
Any time a person runs across such a moronic and hateful bigot, he should mentally subtract 100 points from any estimation he may previously have made of that person's IQ.
I mean, talk about DUMB people. They don't GET any dumber than the dolts of the 5% of Americans in the RRR Cult... the pseudo-Religious Radical Right... who INFEST American society.
You know -- idiots like YOU just proved yourself to be.
You need some *serious* help!! You call yourself "Varmint?" How absolutely APPROPRIATE! If you ever decide to change that, you might also consider "Vermin."
And -- just for the record, I'm proud and happy to be an *actual* Christian, reasonably intelligent, egalitarian and sensible staunch defender of human rights and personal liberties. FIGHTING the hateful louts and agendas of the **loathsome** RRR Cult. And -- no ax to grind... I'm not gay. I'm the father of three, and grandfather of 6.

No, but it's obvious you are. Your cousin needs his family to support him in a time like this and it appears his "family" is throwing him to the wolves. Doesn't the Bible also say to "Love thy neighbor?" Apparently, gay cousins don't count as neighbors. You're probably doing him a favor by avoiding him. If I had a cousin like you, I wouldn't want her around me, either.
How do you know people aren't born like that? Because a compilation of 2000-6000 year old books told you so? Flimsy, at best.
I'd rather spend an eternity in hell with freaks that I care for than an eternity in heaven with sanctimonious hypocrites that I can't stand.

Goodness, you're an angrypants! And creative enough to use the tired "not Adam and Steve" buisness.
I believe I'm correct in saying that the true sin is not to share God's love by accepting ALL people as fragile and imperfect.
So don't worry, even though you are an angrypants homophobe, I think the kingdom of heaven (which, for some ignorant reason you call "the kingdom of paradise Earth," which just sounds silly) is open to you too, just as it's open to non-angrypants of all sexual persuasions.

A would consider myself homophobic, at least a little. I'm married with two teenage kids and a Christian, but, God gave us Free Will, and with that the ability to choose. Yes they may not spend eternity in Heaven, but who are we to judge them. Judge not, less ye be judged and found unworthy, as the Bible says.

I'm neither afraid of them nor do I hate them. Even if I believed that they would not end up in heaven because of their "sinful ways" or whatever, why do I need to waste my time hating and fearing someone because of their personal relationship choices? You can avoid these two but why waste your own energy worrying about what they are doing behind closed doors? It's not YOU that is gay, so give them a break and get over it.
